I've found something useful with the debug menu. I didn't know you could spawn in different enemies with the Debug menu in Survival mode. It even allows you to spawn in one of the Freighter CVs even if you're on a planet. This CV will start hovering over you and shooting at you. So I built me a little HV and used a base that was built to look like a city and had my own battle. Here is the city base I spawned in with my hV. I think it's pretty cool. Then the battle starts with a bunch of Laser drones I spawned in Here is the Freighter CV that I spawned in. As soon as it spawns in it starts firing at you.
Now its night time in the city. I finally got rid of the CV after a hour long fight .lol Trying to take down a CV with a HV turret takes a long time. Just driving around the city taking out rocket drones.
I have to say that many of the builds on workshop are just gorgeous. I'm not that artistic, so my builds are quite a bit less 'curb appealing'. That said, I also have found that a lot of the blueprint ships are rather less easy to use. One I did had the only exit at the far end of the ship from the cockpit. What a pain! I know we often use the control panel to eat, build and access systems (except O2 for some reason), but I like a ship that is laid out with a practical and easy to use scheme. So I build my own.
Just one question before i frantically start the game: how did you do that?!? ...and does it work in creative mode too? (It would be really nice to test some ships, even if it's just a big target practice like a freighter)
I've tried to follow it, but i'm totally incapable to make any sense of it, lol. I'll better play Skyrim for a while (the next couple of years, lol), it's not half as complicated to get it working right imho.
I've been working on the CV Lightning some more. I painted and textured the outside while I ruminate on what to do with some of the interior rooms. It's black with yellow lightning bolt stripes down the side. I'm not entirely sold on the paint job though. I was also thinking about grey or white with black detailing. What do you guys think of the black/yellow scheme?
LOL It only works in survival mode. You have to open up the console and type in the command "debugmenu" then exit out of the command console then hit the escape key to bring up your game options. Have you seen the option that allows you to change the time day in creative mode? Well that option will appear in survival for you. So click on that option and at the bottom you will see a the name of either a ship or a NPC with a button labeled "Spawn" beside it. If you click on the item that is set to spawn you will get a list of different NPCs and a few ships you can spawn in. The freighter is labeled FreigherCL and its the only one in the list labeled that. So just select what you would like to Spawn and hit the Spawn button. Now there is a button at the very bottom labeled "space" make sure that button is checked because for some reason nothing spawns in if that button is not checked. Now not all of the NPCs work because the Space Drones and one of the Alien NPCs will not move when you spawn them in but everything else will either attack you or start walking around.
I'm so guilty. I make sure I get to my base by night fall, then I zip through the darkness. I figure a guy has to sleep, after all.
I don't think the purple gives enough contrast with black. I thought about red but.....lightning bolts are generally yellow. I don't know. Maybe I'll see how the rest of the interior goes before making a final decision on the paint job.
So i was taking a quick nap in my base after a succesfull journey, when a little stone falling on my head that woke my up ... I now don't need to worry about dental problems anymore ... ever.
Not true. In creative, tick the box that says "Enable AI." It also let me test-spawn a number of NPCs on an orbital station Even without a gravity generator, they walk around on the floor. Must be a hardcoding thing.
Reworked the Raumkreuzer MKII Weapons 1: Rocket Turrets x4 2: Plasma Turrets x4 3: Pulse Laser Turrets x6 (4 upper side, 2 lower side) Underside: Minigun Turrets x6 It was pretty chaotic before, so i put the main firepower to the upper side. For easier handling. I know... not really exciting... lol.
Hmm I checked that box and the freighter CL didn't shoot at me. I wasn't really focused on the Normal NPCs . I was talking about the Freighter and it's turrets. I could not get it to fire on me in creative. I will try again later but that box is checked for me.
This latest update broke a bunch of my blueprints because of the weapons changes. I got one of them updated and then noticed the rest. I'll have to fix them later.
Since my last post was so boring, i decided to test a ship of mine gainst some AI Freighters (thanks @banksman45 and @Kieve ) Europa Class showing its teeth: Spoiler: More destruction for the bloodthirsty ones First one enemy then more following: Thats it i guess:
