Today I outfitted a Gargoyle-class Destroyer for the upcoming Red vs Blue battle. Also made a bunch of guns and ammo for it. Also, start planning a new CV, which currently would come out to about 187 x 257 or so. Not sure how well I can build it, but I feel like my pixel-outline skills have improved somewhat: Still needs work for some areas, but I think it would make a fine Mothership for Red team. Or for anyone willing to deal with a truly massive ship, really.
Heh I probably won't build it, mostly for fun and practice I know Shakles at least prefers more serious ships.
Slam, I hate to say this, but Structural integrity is probably going to preclude slight, spindly shapes like those wings on a large vessel.
Structural trusses! Load-bearing girders! Columns! Surely having a circular roof will help to distribute weight evenly? It would be alarmingly impractical if I ever did build it. But all the reasons not to just make me want to more Edit: Also, Structural Integrity is going to be a thing? For realsies? Awesome!
Oh, almost forgot to Report: I spent some more time on the Eleon Test Server & got my Base closer to completion. Also encountered a Cobalt Ore Vein at 10% & had a hell of a time knocking one more percent out of it to 'retire the Vein' after finding out it was bugged real hard & kept being prone to having its Floor disappear & drop me into the Eternal Void. (I wonder if a 'Eternal Void' Empyrion Meme will ever be born someday? Or at the very least could do a Homage to this Bugage by making a literal "Eternal Void" Biome... unless Space itself already qualifies for that in a way. ) Also workin on stocking up on large amounts of Resources i'm gettin low on both to finish the Base with & eventually make a modest SV to use to get Sathium & Neodymium with. (Holy buggers! My Firefox Spellchecker caught me misspelling "Neodymium" & actually HAD the word available to correct! Is Neodymium an actual RL thing & not a Sci-Fi Ore!? ) Mildly annoyed I need to do this to get my Base Large Generator goin & get my Minigun built, but i'll deal with it. (I had forgotten about this from my SP Survival Game.)

I've given it a try at becoming a Writer, but can't seem to get anywhere at it cause I can't even get enough Mom & Dad work done for their liking. Though, Short Stories, I never thought of before...
Just write them and keep sending them in. With a little luck some one will pick up on them. You have the skills.
It's the RL time availability that's the problem... though how much I like playing Video Games is of some guilt too. Edit: Lookin pretty consistent on the Eleon Test Server... under strong load at the worst of times, & when I log into the Server & for about the first 30 - 45ish seconds after, I can drop down to 3-4 FPS, under some load I average 10ish FPS, under minor load 15ish FPS & when there's practically nothing going on around me I get 22ish FPS.
It got delayed. My Parents needed to borrow my money to attack Credit Card Bills caused by my Mom needing to get special things to put into her Mouth so she can use some kinda Clippy Dentures as her last chance to regain full power at being able to chew food properly again. They'll pay me back when they can, but it's set back my schedule quite a bit of time, if not months. (Mom's more important then just my strength of my Entertainment power, plus that Credit Card Interest threat is a bogey, & bogeys are best destroyed ASAP.) & That's if they don't find a way to end up needing MORE money from me for other Credit Card woes first... >_< After Alpha hits, I still am thinking of joining the Red vs Blue Server, but might have to wait an awful long time for my New Computer before I can do any Real Combat, aka Merc Combat. I might be screwed into having to settle for stuff like Mining up Resources for the BMT Faction, building stuff for it, Trading, Establishing myself, etc.... but at least it'll be a start. Thank Arceus i'll still have PvP Vid watching as a band aid fix for my Carnage loving. (The only bright side to this is i'm nowhere near ready to decide how i'll build my Merc Ship, let alone getting it Built & BPed, yet. Waiting for Alpha & the new goodies in it first, ESPECIALLY the Super Steel Blocks. Speakin of which, did Eleon stick with its name for them of 'Reinforced Steel'? I still think Brokenshakles has a point on that & 'Hardened Steel' would work better as a name.) Edit: For the Topic: Got remaining needed Resources Mined up on the Eleon Test Server & ran outta time waiting for all of them to Process, but got enough of them done to get the Factory working on a Tyrax Starter SV, then it got done & deployed just in the nick of time before I had to go to bed. Next go i'll be able to go get some Sathium & Neodymium. (I want my Minigun!)
Sorry to hear about you not getting a new rig. But mom is more important. As for naming different types of blocks. The devs must be total computer nerds. Wrong colours and textures on ores (main stay of the game). Totally weird naming on blocks. Just like there's very little if any research at all put into it. Other than making the blocks and sorta making them work.
I got my Tyrax Starter SV geared & ready to go on the Eleon Test Server & went to the Akua Moon. 0 surprise, of course the Neodymium Veins would be long gone. I start flying around looking for Neodymium Meteors to Mine. Meteors fall as I do this. I circle the Planet no less then 8 times at various places & flying patterns & i'll swear I covered every bit of Surface... but no Neodymium Meteors are ever found. Saddened by my lack of ability to ever get a Minigun now, I head back up into Space & go ahead & at least get some Sathium from an Asteroid. While Mining one a big fat chunk of it disappears & makes the entire Inner Area of it into a sort of Pocket Eternal Void. Spoiler: Screenie for Proof. After, I returned to my Base & threw the Crushed Rock & Sathium Ore to process over time before logging out to answer to my Bed's Call. (This is one spiffy thing about MP... being able to have Ore Process without me having to be in the game to wait on it, then having finished Ingots waiting for me when I return! )
You should be able to find neodymium on your local periodic table (Nd) . The first thing that comes to mind if i hear neodymium is a neodymium magnet(it's always an alloy actually (afaik), but i've never heard anyone call them anything but neodymium magnet.....so yeah). I think they're somewhat known and people have heard of them here and there, as they're widely used. There should for example be one in your HDD. With all these sci-fi games, tv shows and movies around, i feel like people have a hard time telling what actually belongs to the realm of sci-fi, and what doesn't. For example, antimatter is something that sounds made up, while it's a real thing. It sounds sci-fi to me, anyways. Alot of things that sound... "fancy" do
