The Venom will not function, sorry Dude!... With Patch 6.6 Shutter Windows infront of Weapons means... Weapon will not shoot. Mostly.
You're welcome! I had the same thing on my Omega-Fighter to increase survivability Then as 6.6 hits I got some real problems attacking some Star base...
Been in creative today. Made a lifepod for the CV 'Monarch' I'm working on. Simple little thing. Not so sure about the stripes, have to test something else. It can fit 4 persons. Basic survival gear to keep you alive until the help arrives. Like I have mentioned before - I like doing maintenance hatches to all my builds. Fuel and oxygen can be filled without using control panel. Ready to launch. 'Monarch' is planned to have a crew of 12 - so there will be three of these lifepods. Has good amount of forward thrust to get out of harms way quickly - and very rudimentary S type thrusters to each other direction to have some control over the lifepod. Well, basically just to make the docking possible. Been adding some details. Still a good amount of work to be done before I can enter the insides. They are still empty shells. Probably leave texturing & painting last - with all the texture updates going on, not sure what the textures I lay down today will look like tomorrow 'Wyvern' by @Friendly Timo and @Starwing6 is being made in the background - it's going to be an awesome ship
I have removed the shutters now, they were not even to protect the guns, they were there to change the look of the front end because I did not like it lol. It was the first time in some 56 uploads that I had a block in front of a weapon XD Though they were rail guns we could say they are lined up with the gaps in the shutter block as it is a precision weapon. But if the block gets hit then no point keeping it there I guess, honestly though the ship looks a lot better with the shutter blocks there, looks completely different now XD and gives me a catamaran impression from the front. Still though at least it will function now !
A close up of the building of the Impossibee I made last night, had a lot of fun making this, the idea started around having the smallest survival open cockpit possible with o2. A Cockpit seat surrounded by thrusters, with a bunch of glass and a few panels. Starts out looking more like a submersible XD was a fun ride to finally get this thing to where it is now from where it was in this first pic XD Sneak preview of my soon to be released shuttlecraft roddenberry in the bg of this next pic ^-^ Fridge constructor sealed cockpit is all we have at this point. Stage 2 depicted in blue here saw a rebuild of the exterior shell and a double up on all thrusters making it very fast and responsive. At this point we have a cockpit full of thrusters, this is resolved later on. The undercarriage was restructured due to air leak. Another sneak preview of my soon to be released shuttlecraft roddenberry in the bg of this next pic :O Stage 3 depicted in oranges here saw the 02 tanks sent to the undercarriage, which again was rebuilt and shifted around. Spotlights increased to 2, then allowing for an o2 station in the nosecone accessible from the exterior via shutter door. Stage 4 depicted in orange and blue saw the rear end increased by 1 block length, this was enough to allow for a complete move around of the fridge constructor and adding of 2 cargo box and armour locker, the vessel contains extra fuel tanks also at this point. Undercarriage was again rebuilt. Stage 5 this was the final phase, the task was to have the ability to walk into and around inside the cockpit itself as a cabin, as well as remove all thrusters from the interior itself. The vessel now runs on minimal amount of thrusters and as such is not as responsive as it was. The o2 station is no longer accessible from the exterior but from interior instead, though the other option is still a possibility. I will have to make a new post to post the stage 5 pics as i have used all 10 uploads for this post sorry >.< Look down below !
Yeah it is. I like her use of texture in those last two shots also. I'm continually amazed the way some people manage to make use of the textures we have.
Thank you ^_^ My builds are becoming ever more compact as I try to reach the pinnacle of cheap usefulness in its smallest possible form XD
speaking of small and useful.....these are 2 things my stuff is not! still working hard on my alienship, of course in nice settings. Lava and ice is a wonderful combination btw. Since i tried out a lot of textures and painting and iam still not satisfied with it, i built a base to get the head free. (of course in the same style) At least it got me some interior ideas for the CV. A stairway, which connects nearly all Decks in the middle of the Ship Some optical places for the fuel and O² tanks with "filling level indication" I hope, the ideas keep commin and for sure this site here is a rich source for inspiration too. But i cannot keep up with the speed in which the most here are progressing. So u have to wait, sorry for that
Yeah, I agree with Kieve. Might I borrow some of your brilliance with my own CV? I love the edge and corner trim. Very neat.
Just a little something I built, I called it the Roddenberry, dedicated to the legend. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1122335699
NO! *puts foot down in infantile manner* I don't wanna wait! I know these things cannot be rush, but I am intensely curious how it ends up. I love the curvature of the interior and the vertical style of the ship. Very interesting.
Zeyhines has the same Rados Missile Silo like Ningues (as I'm there atm and this is my last POI there...) This is one of the Ultra-Rare Cargo boxes: and this *GRMPF!!!!* again the content: edit: at least the other one has an Epic
I know I said I was finished with the guest rooms but I'm considering redoing them. I'm thinking of cutting back on the number of rooms so I can increase their size and add extra details. Might revisit the texture/colors too. Decisions decisions. That would theoretically cut back on the number of devices too. A shot of one the current rooms. They're efficient, very much like hotel rooms but I'm not entirely satisfied with them. I might have to come back to this when I've had more sleep. Edit: Sleep: who needs it. After trying a few things out on a test platform, yep, I'm reworking the guest rooms. Here's a shot of the new room decor.
Anyone else having trouble painting their ships because of the new shiny metal texture being incredibly sexy? Except for this: Teensy bit annoying, but the rest is amazing, memorizing.
