Cursed at Isaac on Aestus, which made me redesign the thruster section of my li'l camper. Also did some interior design in my small carrier.
iPhone 5C. It's not only the first iPhone I've had, it's also the first iPod in general that I've owned xD (and I've only had it for maybe 4 months so far). So I'm not quite an expert yet Still getting tripped up by auto-correct pretty often lol
Yes auto correct I hate it. Wish it could just show you a choose of words and let you pick. My daughter and grand kids all have the apple phones. They seam to like them. I'm cheap so I use a Samsung S6.
Today, I finally left Akua for the first time. Built myself a small, simple, flying brick SV. Nothing special, fuel tank, genny, RCS, O2 tank, a couple thrusters, and a cockpit, very little else. Decided to take a trip to the nearby moon, since it was my maiden voyage, and that moon seemed an easy goal. Somehow, I managed to land almost directly on top of the Hyperion crash site, and very quickly had the back half of my ship shot off by a rocket to the fuel tank. Not long after, I found myself stepping out of my Clone bay, back on Akua. The moral of the story here is: armor matters. If your ship doesn't have any, don't expect it to survive long.
I didn't get lost in Project Barracuda cause of Elevator usage confusion, I got lost in Project Barracuda cause of their inane Hallway & Stair layout in combo with trying to deal with navigating its incomplete sections, so Hah! Spare Parts can help too for Vehicles, especially Spare Cockpits, Cores, & Thrusters.
Performed more work on the Barracuda. The second axial deck is now completed, from forward lounge all the way to the new engine compartment. Lower axial deck has some blank spaces but took advantage of the new holographic displays to make a sick-looking briefing room just forward of the vessel bays. The interior is looking less and less incomplete; I just need to build the CIC in a classified location on the vessel, seal up what parts of the lower axial deck aren't in use and the ship will be ready for service. Afterwards, I will construct gates for our shipyard so that prying eyes can't see inside. Once the shipyard is secure, work on "Project Whale Shark" shall begin.
That's great advice! In my case, I would have needed a fuel tank, RCS, thrusters, and a different place to have my cargo boxes, because they were all destroyed. I need to redesign my ship, clearly.
Commissioned the first destroyer of the Blue Syndicate navy, Sharpfin ADD-01 of the Barracuda class. She will be followed up with a second ship, ADD-02 Sawtooth. If the class is successful, additional ships will be built and commissioned.
I totally dig that Naming Texturing & Paint Job. Also it was an honor to help ya test her out with my Iji. ^_^ My latest going ons in Empyrion is a Clan Mate of mine, Star Viper, & another Clan dude I need to get the name of memorized, (Do your damn job once in awhile goddamn Memory of mine! ) gave me a ride to a PvP Asteroid Field (During the Warp Jump, I got a 'Quit & Email' Error & tried to Mail the info to the Devs, but the damn game failed to GENERATE the Info so I couldn't. Then I had Iji in the target system & me still in Danube orbit & the 2nd Clan Dude had to come pick me up in his CV & thankfully THAT jump didn't bug.) & Star Viper tested my Iji vs one of his Fighter SVs. 8ish Salvos & one direct hit from my Iji later his Ship was completely murdered. It took about 30ish minutes for him & the other Clan Mate to fix'er up then he tried again, this time opting to run through the Asteroids like a Jackrabbit, perhaps trying to stall out my Ammo. After an intense 20ish+ minute chase through the Asteroids with me firing on him mercilessly I eventually managed to gun him down, & still had over 25,000 Rail Gun Bullets left. While he was trying to figure out how to navigate his CV to his poor wreck, I paid a visit to an annoying Space Drone that rudely interrupted our fight for a bit & 'spoke my mind' to him. It was dead in 2 Salvos. I saw its dead carcass in confusion for a moment, then remembered just recently that Space Drones had gained Lootability, so I just HAD to see what he dropped. I paid the Corpse a visit & saw some good Parts, including a Flux Coil & FIVE Power Coils! I hereby declare Open Season on Space Drone Hunting! Mech came on & took interest in my Iji & offered to test his Barracuda CV vs her. What the hell kinda Gamer would I be if I said no to a Boss Battle? Of Course I accepted! (Me, & both GMT buds of mine all got the 'Quit & Email' Error again the second the Barracuda Warped in. Again the damn game failed to Generate info to Mail to the Devs. *Facepalm*) Holy hell the lag! We both lag jumped & Rubber Banded around each other, to no end. I couldn't fire on the Barracuda, I had to resort to trying to predict fire Volleys into where I hoped the Barracuda would Rubber Band/Lag Jump to next, it was like trying to hit some kinda old school game Boss Monster that kept short range teleporting around. Also from time to time I accidentally lag Face Planted my Iji into the Barracuda's side... one of the times I accidentally did this, I took a Mortal Blow & blew up in defeat. After the Battle, I learned that I at least somehow took out ONE Turret. Mech does not miss that Turret a bit citing that the Turrets were too damn stupid to even fire on me. From my point of view it seemed like a couple fired on me once in awhile, but as usual with SV vs CV Battles, most of the time the damn things couldn't TURN fast enough to track my incessant flying & strafing so they kept getting very few shot opportunities, because Turrets turn too damn slow! (Hint Hint Devs.) IMHO Iji had a damn good Test Run & for now i'm considering her a complete Build. ^_^
Since I'm starting a new game (with major kudos to @Navonil Mukherjee !!) I decided this time I would start on Omicron. I'm new enough I always had Akua as an option, and have always taken it, until now... but I "think" I know what I'm doing. (Seed: 137254) Came down over some VERY rough terrain and had drones in my rear view briefly, so there's likely a POI just to the south. My pod landed wedged in a chasm. At first I was going to look for flatter ground, but then I realized that I could make use of the terrain. And there were pools of water at the bottom of these pits. Several magneseum deposits were close by too, not huge ones, but... advantageous. So I decided to pick a gully with a scummy pond, right next to one of these deposits, and bore my first base out of the hillside. That'll keep it out of the sun and out of sight, but I'm not far from water AND I have a magneseum deposit accessible from inside my base (good for 1800 ore anyway). First time I've tried an underground-style base, though right now it looks more like a secret stash cave, and later I expect it'll look a lot like a depleted mining operation - or a much-too-big investment in a small or deposit.
That was a damn good fortune in Starter Base location. I'm a big fan of placing Bases on small water holes like that as ya can stick your H2/O2 & Water Generators on them & then build your Base around them for In-Base H2/O2 & Water Generation that's protected. Edit: Oh yeah, almost forgot: My latest going ons in Empyrion is yesterday as of the time of this Post my Dad came home outta nowhere so I couldn't safely MP, so instead I worked on my Creative Mode CV Build some more. I'm starting to strongly suspect the possibility that it's normal for CV Builds to be ginormous undertakings that'll take days to weeks to get done... & after all that I still have to hope it'll even be any good. Still, i've never feared big stuff like this before, i'm not about to start now.
Today I took on the Xenu Fortress on Masperon. I'd never seen it before today and suffice it to say I was completely taken by surprise by how many turrets were defending that place. Between the defensive emplacements and the dozen or more large drones circling about this particular area had to have been the most heavily-armed zone in the system. But, fortified with a speedy, well-armed vessel and a shitload of ammo I was able to clear the place in a matter of minutes. That is to say, the turrets and the drones hovering above. Clearing out the base proper took quite a bit longer, but... I did get an Epic Plasma Cannon for my troubles. Spoiler: Awwwww, yeah.
Congratulations! That's a sweet find! My latest going ons: I got to challenge Slam Jones's Dogfighting CV to Mortal Kombata Duel with my Iji, & had my fav Steam Bud take advantage of the Steam Event to give Empyrion a look see. Sadly he decided it wasn't his kinda game, he's never been any good at Sandboxes or making his own fun. Anyway, Slam & I Dueled for what felt like over 30 minutes, my RL Arms actually got a little tired from all the effort from all out Strafing, Firing, Dodging, Maneuvering, & my SV occasionally accidentally Face Planting into his CV. Eventually Mom called me to deal with one of our Dogs & Slam was cool enough to accept a Time Out. Upon my return he had decided that I had just plain won, for his CV was gutted through & through with a huge hole in it where the Ship's Head/Mouth used to be & fierce Internal Damage, even including his Cockpit & Core exposed. My Iji didn't lose a single Block. ^_^ The battle took over 7,000 Rail Gun Bullets to win. I have Trophy Screenies of my kill, but will withhold them in case Slam would like his Build to get to maintain some Build Secrecy. Also, BNS's Mr. Badger took a look see at Iji after hearing of my victory & honored me with his being impressed with her. ^_^
My base got a wee bit bigger and more walled/floored. I went on some scouting trips and discovered a number of POIs. A Xenu Armory to the northwest, some huge iron deposits guarded by drones to the west, and an Unknown Artifact. I had no idea (but shoulda figured) that different planets had entirely different sets of POIs to choose from. I'm gonna need that iron, I got the guts to an SV built but it needs steel blocks badly. It'll be some fight, I have a pistol and a totally unarmored SV...
