LOL. I was thinking of ship names when I woke and I was thinking about a giant cv planet killer type vehicle and what to name it. My first thought, Yars revenge. One of my fav 2600 games
I love the fact you can create your own lights now.. Just take one of your lights and place it behind the block you use the emissive texture on and you have your own custom light.
After our lively HV discussion the other day I decided to give them another try. This is a testbed only. I added the new multitool and a couple of minigun turrets and then spawned it into a copy of my current survival game. I'd already re-cored a section of the TItan so I had a good test subject. The pics show the end result. I set up the hover motors like a mining HV so that I could angle the HV up or down. Salvage was quick although it will take some practice to avoid cutting off whole sections and losing them.
'There are old pilots and there are bold pilots. There are few old, bold pilots.' No, But the old ones are generally REALLY sneaky.
Wow that's beautiful. How much is rent? Also, I wish the stairs weren't so hard to climb in this game since I'd end up jetpacking over this fine work to get upstairs
Relaxation & collecting autominers from depleted deposits for me. Last day I got tired working until late night on an upcoming CV of mine. CV Flying towards depleted deposits during sunset like a lonely cowboy
Damn Neal, as always, I love your interiors(no pics of the engine room?? You know I gots to get me my Neal warp room fix .) Those thoughtful little staircases are so pleasant. Beautifully done. I really like the coloring on the CV. You do not see many multi-colored ships. Most are very precisely formulating with 2 - 3. Its cool to see people break that mold sometimes.
The guide is visible and I hate it already. I didn't realise these forums didn't have a 'table' option so I'm going to have to mess about making more images to do the borders I want. *beats artist half with a large stick* Stop moaning! I'll get to it now
Hehe, thanks! Here's a bummer, i had to reduce the ceiling height and raise the floor, because the room was simply too complicated to get a decent lighting. So i had to redesign the staircases too. The room itself is still a WIP. And here's the Engine room, just for you. Btw. does anyone know, where to get, or how to create some decent looking ASCII diagrams? Especially technical stuff?
I would like to know too! oh and @Neal... your Warp room is bigger than most of my complete Survival Bases...
Not really my field of expertise, but I just did a quick google and this seems the most helpful for creating them: http://www.instructables.com/id/ASCII-Art/ Basically, inserting a picture into the background of a word document and typing over the front of it to get the desired ascii image. Hope that's of help. edit: i just found this http://picascii.com/ that supposedly converts a pic directly into ascii, but i'm not game to let my shields down with strange websites and/or programs. Might be legit, but it's a risk.
Awwwwwww, daaayum... *Takes a hit of Neal warp engine art* *sits back and lets the high travel* .... mmmmmmmmm I love everything about that. The LCD's are amazing, and the giant neon cyan thingies are just interesting. Beautiful.
Oh yeah, and @Neal I assume you already know of it, but there is: http://www.wingamestore.com/misc/egs-lcd-symbols/uncensored/#help . Not the same thing as ASCII diagrams, but possibly useful for you.
