I've personally always thought Turrets, especially non-Homer Turrets, work best when the Turrets in the back are raised up above the Turrets in the front so the farther back Turrets can 'fire over the heads' of the frontal Turrets... like ya did for those Side Turrets... not so much with the Top Turrets. If ya don't do this the farther back Turrets get Body Blocked by the Frontal Turrets, cheating you out of Firing Arc that already isn't good to lose more of in the first place when we only have 2D Weapons for our 3D Combat. Bases, CVs, & HVs alike can benefit from this practice.
Meh. Noooooo. you need to manipulate the import in a separate Creative map. if you did this in a SP map A) dunno if it would work. B) Really Silly. The client for import stands alone.
Not an issue in this case since the enemy ship will be slighty above the front of the ship if you aim at it. The turrets on top need to elevate in order to shoot at something you directly aim at while the turrets further back on the sides actually need to depress slightly at typical combat ranges. It would be an issue if the turrets would be mounted in a row (directly behind each other) but that isn't the case here, every turret has a clear line of sight to the bow. Even the drill turret!
Ahh, I mighta been lookin at it wrong. Screw you too 2D Pic. If only 3D had managed to catch on better, & maybe if Computer Monitors & New 3DS-like 3D Viewing could find a way to marry. Also, i've always wondered what it'd be like to play Minecraft in 3D...
Today I went and pick up the FOB once it was done cooking and parked it near the next salvage target. I am apprehensive.
Too Big. Max size for a structure is 500m. Each block is 2 meters on a side. To be completely honest I am not sure if this IS the issue you are having because I haven't run into this yet. But it is my first guess. If Someone wants to start a thread for this we should take it there.
Spent most of yesterday digging out a crashed capital sip on Akua moon, and now I can't find the core so I can strip it Anyone know where it is?
Wow, nice! I've learned that there really can't be too many turrets unless you reach the default or modified limit. Has it been battle tested against the space threats in the default SP, or anything similar? I wonder how quickly she could take the Alien Outpost!
You can not have enough firepower for PVP. If a 1v1 doesn't end with one of them warping out after losing all guns someone brought a baguette to a sword fight. The whole difficulty in building a PVP ship is utilizing your firepower properly because we just do not have enough of it while everyone brings tons of armor. I will elaborate further when I finish the guide (and do not need five attempts to upload a single screenshot). For PVE any ship with a modicum of armor and a full set of turrets is overkill. Taking out the Alien Outpost is a two minute light show.
Don't hurt yourself banging head on desk... but it's pretty much out in the open (and originally above ground) in the back of the ship... Right side of pic
Such cruel circumstance..... I nearly cry when this happens to me I'm so upset with my lack of attention.
GG Symmetry mode, GG. *shakes fist* I've decided to change this ships purpose. I think it would make an excellent Pirate Kings first capital vessel. The only addition needed inside would be a sufficiently elabourate Throne. With the main loot storage directly behind it. This also makes the color scheme far simpler. Dark red with "Gold" secondary color. And a fair few skulls and bone spikes.
I think that color scheme can really work! Block faces on angled blocks are a constant source of joy.
I will start off with a question, for a low-level (7) starter SV, Constructor (which requires Cobalt, which is primarily found off planet). Or no constructor? (So the player can fly the SV into space to get the ore needed to build one). As for what I did today, the tweaking never ends. I moved the lateral thrusters on the T1 & T2 SV HPOD's so that players can attach wings to them. Of course I had to test it out. It's a pity this will not fit through a 5x3 hangar door (a requirement for the HV's/SV's in the series).
Still took a while to find it, but worth the effort 24 small and 12 medium thrusters, 2 rocket turrets, 2 rocket launchers, plasma turret and a cannon turret, and a bunch of T2 fittings
