I get what ya mean by that. Nonetheless the Design DOES need to work within the limits of current Game Mechanics.
It's a beautiful design, but I cringed when I noticed the exposed RCS's and fuel tanks. I remember driving those during the gulf war. Congratulations, you deserve it. Side note, if you uncheck this you will always appear offline in Steam until you manually sign into friends. Nice, post it if you wish to. Just be advised that I may be making a few changes to mine because of that.
Work continues on the Dorf conversion. A large part of the theme of the build is to make it look like a RV conversion of the Drof. Also, to keep as many of the curved lines as possible. I am also working on leaving space for a warp core. Here is the current progress, the back end was re-worked to more closely resemble the suggestion I received from @Siege Inc. This one is by no means finished, I am still playing around with shapes. I have not uploaded this to the workshop yet, but feedback would be appreciated.

Using my amazing editing skills I tried to see what it would look like if the player model 1. Held the weapon down when not shooting something 2. Was in more realistic clothing on a temperate planet meaning equipped with a backpack, items on the belt, and kneepads that stuck out from the silhouette
