Thanks. Force fields work nicely for this purpose and because of them I got the idea in the first place. That and the docking system @Friendly Timo made for our faction CV which is really nice. Locust is coming together with the CV. I just like to play around with the builds a little bit before publishing to test them out Nice take on Sampo, I like it That was first in the line of small mining CV's I made. It was a survival build too made when the mining turrets were first introduced
Been a long while, but I'm getting back into empyrion. Nice new features. Running my current akua survival base basically entirely on solar power now, and have reached the point of my first SV. Built my initial one right here in survival one night. I'm actually quite happy with it, looks-wise. Very barebones though and zero sort of durability.
One of my blueprints may not be quite this small, economical, but it is also not very durable. Still been to the moon and back several times in the small thing and there is something special about accomplishing that with such a tin can.
Oh I'm with you, there. Every time I start fresh in Empyrion I build a different starter SV and I keep it around just for quick transport if nothing else.
It is done! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1275190667 Besides having completed the logic I think the only other major addition was the Medbay area: Primary Features: > Full 20 Solar panels > Base Control Panel > 4 Shuttered expansion spaces on main floor > 4 Available Turret Mounts > Open-plan design - Highly customizable > 4 Medium SV Docks - Sufficient space to house multiple Furnaces close to cargo arrivals, or even be converted into rooms. > 4 Medium SV/HV Docks > 1 Large SV Dock > Expandable external Landing Pad for spawning your monster CVs on > Green House with space for 35 Crop Grow Plots > Partitioned Oxygen > Automatic Lights > Hangar Access Status Indicator > Added Foundation Spikes to ease placement, along with Recommended depth marker Control Panel Features: > Automatic Hangar Toggle: Enables Automatic Hangar Access & access indicator > Processing Toggle: Enables All processing > Grow Lights Toggle: Enables All grow lights > Power Saving: Disables Processing & only uses minimal grow lights I kept it fairly simple logic-wise as I wanted it to assist people in learning how logic works and gets set up.
Finished work on the Polarity CV which is now on the workshop (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1275428283) - have to admit that it didn't quite come together the way I wanted it to, but it'll do. It's made out of normal steel though, so pretty fragile. Might do a combat steel version at some point
*Snicker* Ya call that a Knife...? THIS is a Knife!Ya call that Barebones...? THIS is Barebones! Spoiler: Tyrax Emergency SV Especially in particular, this dude has ZERO Hull Blocks in its Design! With that said, like the looks of your SV, it's lookin like a good first effort, & inspiringly interesting use of Wings.
Didn't do nearly any of what I had in mind today. Spent most the day in bed, sick. Just took a few minutes after dinner to do a minor fix to one of my older designs. I have whole pad of newer BP to work on and finish, but I don't think I have the strength. I also owe my wife hanging up a shelf on a wall, but being sick puts a cramp in plans. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1138225486
Finished engineering, and built the three levels that will be the Galleria. Hangar ready, stardock ready, parking spaces for working other ships a-ok. Landing pads a go-go, Furnace installed in a nice, safe location. No burning! Fairly close to being open. Now to get wiped by v8. Almost ready for the grand opening!
Been doing some more work to Cerberus-X. Took a little break to compare previous generations of the CV. I love going back to older builds to compare them. Nice to see that I have progress from the earlier days. (Clockwise from bottom right) Cerberus-X, Cerberus-SE, Cerberus, Valkyrie. I would like to hope that I have improved my building style somewhat. What do you think?
Also I was able to get the ok to upload my version of the Sharcoon from the Original Creator! I have the idea to add him into my ZeroG Lore as like a legendary pilot from long ago or something. Thought it would be a nice touch to give them a proper nod to let me do this. I am so excited! Most of the exterior is been reshaped and the bridge I am still working on, then its off to the interior!
I've had this happen before, my power went out and when I got back my save was also corrupted. From what I can tell the game constantly saves changed variables as you play. So your save is effectively always up to date. However if your pc crashes/turns off while this is happening it can easily break the save with incomplete data writes. [Edit: This may be the last time you hear from me for a couple of weeks. Moving soon so had to cancel my current internet, and there's a gap between that and when I'll be able to get it reactivated. That's assuming they don't try to hit me with connection fees, in which case it could be a few months
