Active Piloting Space Combat Warship, & HV + SV hauling. I managed to stick some Passenger Seats into her too so she can also plausibly rescue some Personnel as well.
Yesterday I spent around 20 hours on the Official Eleon vanilla server. Finally finished the last of the Arms Shipments Trade Goods and kitted myself out from the stores with decent weapons and enough materials to order a VDBTR with some custom Options Beat me to it
After working on the Thruster Performance modes and some turret control logic, I am happy to finally have finished Frost-X! But I will upload it tomorrow as its late and I still have to do photos and such. So stay tuned! Oh! And after multiple older Frost units and 2 Burke units, I have finally made good on an old promise to have 2 Frost Units able to comfortably fit in Burkes docking bay. Feels wonderful to do that! Spoiler: One more just because!
So. Went on a binge of playing <something close to 20hrs contiguous> on the official public server. It was interesting but all the more frought due to some continuing issues with my computer =-.-= Spoiler: Lotta picture here so you were warned. Anyhow, Decided to run at this a bit different than usual for me. Landed on the temperate Akua-alternative and made my way to the admin building . Sold some stuff and wandered around shooting spiders until I could make Assault rifles. Selling and crafting intensified for materials to finish an HV The Base came next after circling the planet several times leveling up through gathering meteorites and walking off with all the complementary pillow mints, towels, and toilet-paper. Anything I didn't need was sold or plugged into a blueprint for an SV. Got a reasonable garden going so XP is flowing. Solar runs the base under all but the heaviest loads. The base itself is Not somewhere you would want to have to do 'Bring your kid to work day' You know they'd end up fried... or mutating from radiation exposure... plague rats and canaries I tell you.. Decent features on the base but it is very Ghetto. And finally my goal reached at just before 0800 hours the Following morning. It is stripped to heck and gone. No hardened steel. No slats. Just plain windows and steel blocks... I hope nothing farts at me. Time to check out the orbit and the moon.
While I certainly approve of shoving two-somethings that are the size of Pvt. Frost in Burke's 'Docking Bay' We Unfortunately have only One Pvt. Frost and further inquiry to HR has determined that the process in question is Right Out! The Platoon is willing to lend you Three canisters of GP-12 Nerve-gas on the Express Agreement that we never get them Back.... Or see them again.... Or hear about what you did with them.. especially if we might have to testify under oath at some point. Good looking stuff as always.
Introducing the Maelstrom Cafe. Not sure if I am going to upload to steam it as it is for a server, BUT, it's kind of nifty. The interior might need some... help. This theme of the supports and the crazy spiky protrusions is proving fun to modify and lends itself well to SVs, HVs, and now BAs. I also stayed up waaaaaay too late for this. Fractalite <- Dumb. *sigh* Off to bed with me.
Got it in one. Nothing heavy duty needed still on the Akua-alternative. Different planetary colors. More brown. Change camouflage to suit.
DONE! the insides at my skill level cleaned it up and made what i could think off top of my head, i left room for personal customization as well. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1286892254
no, in truth i had no idea what else to add in 2 rooms so in the ship there are 2 rooms that are empty ......and i was up all night working on it *passes out*
@The Tactician[ Λ ] "Recreational rooms" are an option, put in some plants and deco stuff not used elsewhere. EDIT: Of course, some holo-deck rooms, paint them almost black (a simple pattern?) and put in a console at the door.
As I was silly and initially made too large SV for the very interesting SV -challenge here, today I did some mods for my design and uploaded it for you guys to enjoy. It's called DSV - Nightbreaker M1. I will be releasing a variant of it that most likely will not be warp capable but can support a larger crew. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1307662192
We'll I am not done (sorry! ) - still very much WIP. I was playing around in creative and dug up my first ever CV - 'Kalevala' class light carrier. Which I never finished. I was trying to modify it to be bit more spacious - it's pretty crowded to be a carrier and had very limited hangar space (well it felt HUGE back when I made it ). I played around with trusses to get a feel for it - but it started to look that there's more work trying to modify this than to make an entirely new one. So I copied the feature I liked the most - the bridge and started anew. Not still sure I'f im gonna call this 'Kalevala' too - but here it is anyway. Still lot more detail & texture work to be done - but the big blocks are there. I had three 'rules' when I started to build this. First, it had to be cheap. Second, it had to be 'quick build'. Third, it needed to have BIG hangar. I failed miserably on the first one. Second one is still debatable. But I think I succeeded in the third one. I wanna fit all my silly SV & HV creations into my CV for once without any trouble. Double biggest hangar door on the top. Four big open entrances on the sides ('protected' by forcefields). Single door of eight biggest ramps on the front. Biggest hangar door on the back. If I have trouble fitting my fleet here (or my factions fleet for that matter) - I am genuinely surprised
hurm forgot about the holodeck, tho not enough room for one, but ya i could add more rec rooms, the plant decos sounds ok never used them before, im still learning
@rainyday hehe yeah that is so true! Finishing the first started CV is fun, and reminds one how big it once felt. Speaking of experience, as i just finished my Big Troop Transporter last week, which was started 1000 game hours earlier. It has the word 'big' in it... eventhough I consider that (today) of reasonable size. Similar with the Seraphim Carrier VCA, initialy it was supposed to be a large(r) ship, figured i kept it (again) of very reasonable size, beeing only class 9. It is a curse, while I cannot build small - always ends up larger than I want, I cannot build large neither - always ends up smaller than it should -> looked/felt larger in my mind/mental image. Learned new things on the way, specialy since my review (actual gameplay and as I consider it done) and certain other screenshots between my previous 2 Seraphim Carrier posts. And, and that is what multiplayer is good for, people tell me what they like very much, would prefer not to, or suggest (activ or passiv, by me seeing their choices of other blueprints -> and the changes they make to them) additions I could or should use for later designs. Though, building online rather than in creative mode is rather challenging at times (symetric delete)! EDIT: I see lots of room for parking decks at the side walls. EDIT2: Have you compensated for the missing force fields of the ramps you use as doors?
Yes - thats a good idea to make the hangar double layered - room for smaller fighters in the side. And yeah - lots of forcefields in this build.
