I personally love seeing the thread spasm as it loads, means there's a bunch of pictures for me to oogle at. Don't get me wrong, I tend to agree with you on your point. I'm on limited internet currently so too many images will gobble up my data. The thing is that, from what I can tell, the images get loaded anyway, whether or not they are 'hidden' behind spoilers, so using them has no advantage for the bandwidth challenged out there. I actually dislike when people add images to threads and don't link into their post. It means I have to click to start viewing them, then click to move to the next one. I prefer them to be all laid out and ready to make my eyes pop out. If there's a spoiler tab or two I tend to be happy as using those usually means there's a bunch of images behind each spoiler Isn't half of the point of this thread to show your efforts or builds you're particularly pleased with? ^^ I guess a lot of it boils down to personal preference. You don't like image spam, so you tend to avoid doing it yourself. I don't mind it, so unless I'm posting a LOT of images I tend to just post them and be done with it.
a bit more patience my firend ;-) make a new Save, that is save the vessel as a new blueprint (and check if the picture is made - the above missing pic indicates there was am error doing so), then upload it. and then wait up to 5 minutes.
Worked on my CV a bit more. I am calling it Nurture. Very different than my norm. Spoiler: More than one pic this time I think the grow lights look strange on the glass windows. But a pic like this next one just looks so perfect to me. A little better view in the daylight on Omicron, where I built a pad in the middle of an oasis. From the rear. A view into the hangar. It isn't big enough for the extra points in the challenge. The 5 x 5 door and ramp(s) are rigged to a motion sensor. There is a pretty good view out the front. Engineering ended up getting split. On one side is the warp drive and core. On the other side is the generator, a couple constructors and a few other devices. When I first got to Omicron, the flight time was about 16 minutes and 77% power while cruising.
tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me with morning doctors and evening going to the store for food, but after the store and during the day ill be making AEGIS LAV as seen in image also @Tyrax Lightning my flagship is under special request to a top tier builder, since like i said before im not skilled enough to take on a CV yet a request was given to redo my flagship to a vet on my friends list, but it will be a while before its redone and uploaded publicly on the workshop, so ill give you more detail when i can give everyone its first teaser image atm he only did one wing and that not showing much lol
@dpburke2 thanx for the pics It's coming along! Nice Shape! but alot of growing lights you have there ;-) 1 for 9 pots are enough, you know that, right ;-) you "could" easy remove more than 2/3 of them ;-) (all outers f.e.) THIS is the reason pictures in this thread are helpful: you can get some feedback from others.
Personally I'm still struggling with the Interior of the IRON HAWK... Initially started as a Project for the new CV-Challenge, it got much much bigger than I thought... Nevertheless, it's main Purpose will be of a Fast-Response-Assault-Carrier/Dropship. And I really like the outer Shell so far! Not quite as fast as the Scout - 87m/s² main and 35m/s² lateral versus 101m/s² and 40m/s² of the IRON DUKE - and sadly (that's my problem atm!!) much less immersive interior!! but on the other hand way way more hangar space (and way more Turrets: Max besides both Artys) Has double decks which can hold at max 2 WAR-Mongers and 3 Mark 5s, or more smaller vessels. Still, now there is no(t much) space for cafeteria, medic and rest area.... Spoiler: more pictures; light are on full, not final of course... Lower main hangar deck for big things like WAR-Mongers... Also small working area with 2 Adv. Constructors, 10 Cargo boxes, Harvester Box, Emergency Pilot seat, 6 Ammo boxes, Repair station, 2 Armor lockers and Medic Station... ... O2 Station and Filling Stations for O2 and Fuel... and some Storage for that too (4 Cargo boxes). It's a Fly-Through Hangar. Still, WAR-Monger will not pass the Front sadly... The upper Deck with two Engineering Rooms, one holding Warp Core and Fuel tank, the other the Generators and RCS2. 18 Growing Plots together (also divided) and 1 Food Processor. What NOT shown here is there are multiple Force field interruptors installed to make the middle area full air tight and sealed in case of Hull breach situations! Up to this it's all okay and I like it! But now we're approaching the Front... and I begin to struggle... there is not much space left... You see another backup Pilot seat, full air tight. I had to cut the front in half to make "a Room" for a Medical Bay - but it's just ... looks.... out of place... ... and way too small too... Perhaps I'm spoiled from that BIIIG immersive Bridge I had build for the OMICRON II... But this is... tiny... even the Scout has way better Bridge and Medic - but then not much of a Hangar to speak of... Going down to the small 8-bed Rest area... Back at the Bridge... THIS is what struggles me most: Any Ideas how to make it better?
good idea, but not possible as this are all small wall blocks showing to the hallway :-( that is, right side passenger seats, left side wall blocks, only the mids is clear... edit: only thing I could think of is an "open" medical bay... hm...
That was my other thought. When I did my HV I decided against a medbay type facility. Since it's meant as a combat vessel I decided that having medical storage was sufficient. Any troops that head into battle without the necessary supplies should be culled anyway. And probably will. More fodder for the Darwin Awards. ^^ [Edit: rofl! I didn't know that the Darwin Awards have an actual website now, time for some comedy!]
Maybe do another "loft" type of space? Kind of like your bridge but for other stuff. Though it could feel a little cramped because it would only be 1 block tall on both the top and bottom. Maybe then use a vaulted-like ceiling to make it appear more spacious in the loft (that ramp block that goes from full size to half size). Just a thought.
you mean to get another "level" in there? one level is more or less walkway (as there can't be placed anything because <1 block (walkway blocks in that space!)) and the other level are the medics... interesting, that would "widen" up the area...
hoho... could get Iron Hawk in a test case from 18.3kt down to just 5.11kt you know what that means?! (not that I'm ready for that already, but I was just lazy, no idea what else to do...)
