I really should get to some of the "honey do's" today, but I enjoyed some time this morning doing some more creative work in Empyrion. Spoiler: Some pics If I wasn't doing a farming CV geared towards the challenge, I would probably be working on something to haul the Thunder Naiad. Sure, I still need to finish my refit of the Star Cruiser, my only functional CV that can transport the T. Naiad, but I love options. And in this case, when I was considering options for the CV challenge one of my doodles was for a CV to that end. The drive through bay accommodates two T. Naiad. I want to take the T. Naiad into my survival game for a fun romp, but I don't have a suitable transport. The Star Cruiser would require more resources than I have stashed already. If I was completing this for the CV challenge, I think the top SV open hangar might qualify for the bonus (I have not double checked that). Originally I was thinking I would have the forcefield closer to the hull at the bottom of the bay which is why some of my rules questions, but this CV ended up being a bit taller to get the shape I was looking for. It's about time I started getting somewhere with the paint job on the Swallow. This is the companion SV to the Pelican CV. I have had the Pelican on the workshop for two weeks? I probably should get this up there as well. As for my primary CV project at the moment, I realized that I forgot the actual Medical Station in my medical facility. A little rearrangement and it fit.
they havent been battle tested yet so ill also be doing that and with his prior permissions ill upload a updated version of the tank if it dosent hold up in combat lol ya little bigger then its suppost to be but hey will see it might still work

Finished my tank for the challenge: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1325714428 New concept inspired by the old middle age battle ships and new age gunships like the ac-130. The tank has two pilot seats (march and battle seat) and 4 gunner seats. There is the maximum number of weapons installed: 6 gatlin guns 6 minigun turrets 4 rocket turrets 4 plasma turrets 1 artillery turret ... all aiming to one direction. Just do a drive by ... The tank is armored with multiple layers of hardened steel and slat armor.
I started on a new project that has been in my mind for quite some time today. The idea I had was to have a vertical SV that lands on it's side, so you can enter it easily, and it doesn't tip over easily. It also has an interior that can switch between a horizontal and a vertical mode, so the interior can be used no matter which position the ship is in. This is how it looks so far, I'll detail it when the mechanics are all functional. Note the landing pads on the side, this is for landing and also docking the ship. You see, this is also going to be a SV/CV hybrid for my own challenge. I wasn't happy with the SV I had so far, I couldn't get it to fit with a CV counterpart in a good looking way. Edit: Spoiler: More pics and explanation I thought I'd show you around inside, what I have of it so far atleast. This is your way to get in when the ship is parked on it's side, I tried it out on uneven terrain and the staircase seems to work well. This is the interior when it's in horizontal mode, you can see the entry hatch in the floor. The shutters will close when the ship is vertical, so you have a proper floor. Because the additional space is only accesible when the ship is horizontal, all cargoboxes, fridges, constructors and such are in the center part, it'll only contain decorational things to increase immersion. This is how the interior looks when the ship is vertical. On the right you can see the airlock for the docking port.
Building "piece of junk" in progress - small, old, unused, cover with rust, mining ship. But it has Warp-Drive I still have to replace a few blocks for damaged ones, without losing airtight.
Both have something, go for the one thats fit better overall with the rest of your ship when finished.
Alright, the interior is basically finished on my project, and I've got a name for the time being too. I present to you: The T4 Nymph The only thing really left to do with this ship is making the exterior look good, as it's really bland right now. Suggestions on how to do so would be welcome.
Tinkered with the idea of a disjointed HV where both parts can be pilotable as a challenge entry. Realised that obstacles can go in between, even large ones. Artillery AI acts weird and pitch stability issues arise on a rough terrain, but as a proof of concept it is ok. Now I think of building a large convoy Mad Max style..
@T431 , imagine a look on the faces of other PvP players when that fleet warps in simultaneously. "It's a trap!"
It could be a great way to intimidate your enemy yeah. Only thing is that if you got a lot of ships they'd all have only one or two turrets probably.
Nice, they remind me of something, I cannot remember what. It's just that annoying itch on the back of the brain that says it looks familiar somehow. Liked and subscribed.
