Today has been productive. Spoiler The bike I made. Took some inspiration from the Judge Dredd Lawmasters. Viper is finished and all prettied up. I wanted to make a mini-Battlestar to go with the Viper. I started off with a ship I made that was kind of a large Space 1999 type craft. I made some questionable changes..... Oh hey that's looking better. Had to use forcefields for the launch bay openings because there weren't any hangar/shutter doors in the correct size and I may have forgotten that little detail when I was building it. Edit: It was bugging me. Ended up expanding the launch bays to add hangar doors.
Got my display to go with my racing HV for @Jenniphurr's challenge posted online. Spoiler: Pics and link https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1371211817 It's a small racer, but the size of the base makes the HV look tiny. But the interior display is more fitting. There was plenty of space to work with on the interior. Added a place to eat and relax.
Made a collection for the disposable/Minimum level spawn structures and vehicles I am prone to make ad-hoc in game and Bp'd them. Hut, Mk.1 Pad, Mk.1 Not terribly positive where I am going with these... have some nascent ideas that I will develop further to make a theme.

Tried out 8.0 exp... had fun, was ambushed by spiders an nearly died if fright before blasting them with a shotgun. Then I ride my motorbike into the sunset. I ended up freezing an starving to death somewhere near the south pole. Started a new world an decided to actually build a base. So far I have a core down an an some wood blocks.
It's weekend again so it's back to battlestar construction for me. Going well so far but still a lot of work to be done. Weapons exceed the device limit at the moment but I think I'll leave it this way, it's going to take vast expense to build in survival so it should be worth it.
I made a thing. After I finish the mini Battlestar clone I'm planning to make a classic Cylon Basestar.
Yeah I know. C'est la vie. The spacing didn't work out with the block sizes. The medium sized thrusters are 2 blocks wide but the hull there is three blocks wide. I could have stuck a smaller thruster there but I didn't need more. I did need the space for internal components though.
Little bit of texture work to make it look like a thruster? Maybe a flare or light the same color as the thrusters for added effect?
Nice use of the building kit! The original BG Vipers were completely unconvincing to me. I could never believe that even advanced tech could pack fuel, armor, armament, power generation, weapons, fire control, life support, comm, etc. into a hull that size. Your version is more believable.

I think there are a little too many turns, that would not come across well. But you can try it yourself. In that case I would like to be wrong. My major project is progressing well. I've been working on my Battlestar today and I did a refit of my BSG Raptor. It really needed it. I need to take new pics and post it later. I noticed the things I posted last night have already racked up three negative ratings. That was quick. Guess my stuff rates well enough now to attract a fan club! Trolling the Steam workshop for stuff to downvote sounds seriously exhausting.
