Moved bases... tried something a little different for this Bivouac .... I Swear if any singing crustaceans show up I'm burning the planet down. So far so good. Solar is HUGELY impacted. but this base's needs are at a minimum. And Oh My God the Food down here! and these too! Health packs are pretty easy, if time intensive, to make.
Thanks for the reminder! I need to re-visit my submerged base project. Preferably sooner, rather than later, when something huge is likely to come along and swallow me whole.
Working on the Cylon Basestar today. I repurposed another hull design that was repurposed from something else. Made it larger, a little copy/paste magic......yeah this'll work. Spoiler It's starting to shape up. Other stuff that's cluttering up my workspace. The one on the right is an earlier attempt. I may yet turn it into something. The one on the left I squished the two saucer sections together just to see what it would be like. Found it's actually pretty cool like that. Now I want to build something out of that too.The one in the background sitting in the dirt is something else from long ago that I ended up not using.
Underground bases are handy - build what you need, where you need it, no worries about outside appearance, and well-protected too. Back in the early days (A3) when my girlfriend was still playing co-op with me, we'd build into the side of mountains. All the perks of a secure base, plus a great view from the deck. But the honest truth is, I build BAs like the ones above because I'm lazy, and I hate all the digging that comes with mining out a hole in the dirt. If you ever do get around to building a fancy prefab, be sure to post it here so I can go admire for a while. Nifty architecture always seems to be in short supply on the workshop. Thanks! I'm very sorry to hear about the phone - maybe time for an upgrade? Also, I share the "fanboyism" - I used the name because my favorite car ever is a Jaguar. Specifically, this one: ...though sadly, something that curvy would look awful in a blocky voxel game.
Build in space or turn SI off Honestly, I know structural integrity can be buggy as hell sometimes, but I've never had much of an issue with it personally. Maybe that's just due to the way I build things, though? I expect it's probably a different story when you're looking at something massive like Nexus Spaceport.
I do turn SI off(space is too dark). It's just buggy and somewhat limiting and I find it to be an obstacle to work around. I understand why they implemented it. It needs a lotta love though.
After the Nth base exploded because I planted/picked/swapped a crop the love I think it needs involves a Ball-Gag and a slotted paddle...Did I mention It bothered me?
You sir have good taste in cars. The XJ220 has to be my favourite supercar of all time. I really don't like supercars, but this one..
Lol, yeah sorry folks that particular 'Feature' of SI makes me bellow. Once loud enough for my neighbors to think I was yelling at them, from 3 doors down and across the street. I did mention that pissed me off right? *giggles*
I want to give a shout out to this design: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1376151588&searchtext= Very neat stuff. There is also another wooden house: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1375870663&searchtext= And this Villa is also decent: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1373791213&searchtext= Three incredible bases.
And the T-4 Annex is also a good starter base: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1374235951&searchtext=T4-annex
I haven't had too much issue with SI either most times thankfully... this may be largely due to me loving Underground Bases & Hand Crafting them (& never getting them done in time before the next Wipe has to happen...), + I build like a Militaristic Dwarf Warrior.
Now THAT's my kinda tune! ^_^ One of these days I need to figure out how to make a successful Super Mining HV! ^_^
Its been awhile since I have last posted on here. RL has been keeping me busy but I am still around. Thank you Devs for letting the 8.0 Exp go live! Anyways, I have now got the bug to work on my Cerberus-X! Its my personal CV that I use for all the traveling/ research I must do to keep ZeroG up and running. Long overdue for a massive overhaul, but with a few projects completed I can now allocate work on it once more! Enough of my ramblings! You want screens so here you go! Like always these are subject to change so don't get to excited just yet, in fact these are a couple days old photos! I have tons of interior photos up on the ZeroG Discord so if you are curious hop over there or by all means join up! (Click link in my signature!) What do you think thus far?
