I haven't logged in to play yet, today. But Yesterday I lost a T3 auto miner on the moon after stocking up on ridiculous amounts of Mg for ammo. I hadn't depleted the vein and wanted to move back to base and begin constructing. I thought I could just dis-assemble and use it again down the way. Nope. Lost the core, and all I had were the easy electronics left as residuals. Bug or Feature?
Hopefully there should have been some on-screen text to that effect when your cursor was on the auto miner ("press [key] to access, press [shift]+[key] to pick up") . . .
So I got started on a new low level/resource starter hv today... I need to stop kidding myself... I can't make a low resource anything! I'm still gonna make this a lvl 5 spawn for now, but I'm abandoning any thoughts that this'll be cheap to make. I'll have to try it out in game to see if its worth keeping the spawn lvl it might still be useful as a traveling base of sorts.
I, Don't Want them larger. In fact I find it quite... well Rude for lack of a better term when someone posts more than 2 full-sized screenshots in a post and FLOODS the page with picture a person May or May NOT want to look at instead of putting one up to catch attention and the rest behind a spoiler. Give me a Choice to look at your stuff and I will. Don't and I'll scroll past it and might say something for the person's lack of consideration for others. Sorry. Sore point. I know you were just being helpful. It is Appreciated.
I prefer the one large picture then thumbnail approach. That way people don't have to click on a spoiler tag to see if the other pictures are worth a look or are something they're interested in. Plus I'd say the entire point of this thread is for people to show off what they've been doing lately so I'm not sure spoiler tags are as necessary in a thread of this nature.
I think that good manners by not taking up as much acreage as you can just because you can is a better model personally. But hey, what do I know.
Well you know your own opinion on the matter. Which is all I was expressing. It was an opinion, my take on things. not an attack on you. I say this cause you seem to have taken it as such.
You are making an assumption. I support my positions against all-comers until There aren't any, or they have changed my mind. This is an issue of what people consider good manners or proper etiquette and is therefore to be considered mostly opinion. Mine, is not going to change in this case and I wish to make that clear. However, If I got upset every time someone stepped out of the bounds of what is proper and considerate behavior I'd be upset even while I was asleep. And I'm not. Peace.
That is where everyone has different opionions. I for one usually do not want to click on stuff to see it. If it is just three or four pictures just post them, I can still scroll past them easily. Only if it becomes a picture dump spoilers and thumbnails are really helpful (or if the pictures are not the main focus of the post).
I also loved those Bolo books and short stories. Classic stuff. Unfortunately many of the CV weapons do not work on a planet, so I went with a massive HV. You can make quite a bruiser with an HV.

Hmm... possible compromise: Concrete outer shell, Wood Interior? Can't, too incompatible with 'Neurotypical Strategies'... but I appreciate the offer. Don't Multitool it, Shift + F or Shift + (whatever ya rebound your 'Use Key' to). & if it wasn't there, Bug Report worthy. I know how ya feel on this so much... I too can't seem to build 'Budget' or 'Micro' worth beans either. @everyone: It's easy to forget that some people have weak crappy Internet that can struggle on large numbers of Pics. Even I can still oops on this at times. First and foremost: Use the new "Repair to Template"! I rebuild it from scratch and it is an easy to upgrade entry SV at lvl 10 now. The main characteristica got carried over so you should be able to use it all time. To lessen the initial resources it is made of steel, so don't forget to upgrade the hull to hardened or combat steel, for battles. Delivered componets are: - 1 constuctor - 2 fridges - 7 cargoboxes - 3 ammoboxes - 6 fueltanks - warpdrive & tank - 5 O2 tanks + station - armourlocker - 4 gatlings (upgradeable to 10, 6 in front of machineroom, 4 in weaponpod) - 2 beds (below cockpit seats) - hidden compartment near constructor - from outside reachable cargoroom - small O2 profile as cargoroom isn't airtight (wearing your helm is advised)
Well, it's fantastic his guess was the right decade, but he has quite a little voyage to get to the correct answer....
OK... so went to check out planet Bhava (seed:8675309) and noted on approach that although temperate, the planet was snow biome pretty much all the way down to the tropics, just a narrow belt of green around the equator... then the planet rotated enough for this to catch my eye- pretty sure this was an ELE... The remaining natives have had to get creative, I suppose. Thought the placement of this base was cool, then I saw the vertical dry-land seaweed plots... That volcano apparently brought up the deep stuff- Erestrum and Zacosium scattered all over the planet
