I wasn't really happy with what I had before, so I restarted on my sister ship project for the Husk. My goal is to have a medium battleship, with an optimal turret layout, by using a wedge shape all weapons can fire forwards, and it can also do broadsides well. Most of the rear body is stil missing, but you can see the front hangar and combat bridge here. Since I'm making it a level 15 builds there are only placeholders for the forwards facing weapons, but you can easily swap them out. The engine style is also similar to that of the husk, it has 4 xl thrusters in each direction, giving it great speed, and in between is a massive landing pad to store any extra ships, and it's quite protected from the front and sides. On top are going to be several extra floors, with another set of armor plates covering the top of the engines, and a bridge similar to the husk's in the rear. When it's finished, it'll be a great ship for space combat and also planetary attacks, as most of the cannon and minigun turrets can shoot down, and it can quickly drop off hovertanks and the like from it's landing pad and hangar.
Main airlock/EVA prep. I really wish the Personal Cargo Box model was available as a deco- the row of lockers would look so much better...

Thanks would you believe I made all these quite some time ago in alpha 7. They were all built during 1 week I think. Around that time I released 2 CV called starjammer and lexington expedition, I think these 4 frames were practices on long hull geometry, though number 4 was a request after i made lexington. When alpha 7 rolled out me and some buddies got into a long serious survival game and I did not get round to finishing these. Eventually they went on to sea of thieves and i went onto GTA 5 lol. I am back though for alpha 8 ! though my friends are not. I have maybe 25 - 35 miscellaneous builds that never saw the light of workshop. I uploaded a warp winnebago motorhome yesterday that I made several months ago. The first one there was a transport barge i built quickly for moving a bunch of sv's across the galaxy in a certain survival game. 2 and 3 were built with many passenger quarters in mind. Perhaps intergalactic ferry of some kind xD And that second one has a small hv bay protruding out the bottom, with some large unique landing legs, i may have posted pics about those some time back. The fourth one was a frame I built for someone else who wanted me to build them a ship, it was never finished as the individual in question spent all of a half day on the project, and only putting in a few rows of ai seating areas.then seemingly vanished from EGS, so I will continue the frame, fill in the insides and submit it hopefully soon. I did learn something from that guy though, how to use the symmetry tool ! It only took me an hour or 2 to build that frame. It is a nice shape, when i spawned it last night it all came flooding back, it was still raw combat steel so i retextured it plain and sprayed it white for that pic xD I felt the hangar bay was too narrow though, might be limited in what SV can go in there. Will get into these cv during this next week and see what I can do ^-^
Last night released my first ever run of the mill combat HV, all HV I have made to date have been camper vans or boats haha. This one is not a boat, it is not a camper van luxury minibus, it is a war machine. Nothing particular special about it, I have no exp building combat HV but she has a lot of guns and looks half sexy. I like all examples in ways but cannot decide on the final, the first example is the cleanest looking internally but leaves that little black triangle cut out of the white hull edge on exterior.
Does it count as "in empyrion" if you never actually played, just spent two hours attempting to change the parameters of the default random senario to have about double the planets and to have a better distribution of ores? Well, I did that. Couldn't get it, nor the SSG to work. Oh well. Maybe in a few days time.
I like the second example. Maybe you can expand the windows on the height of the triangle more to the side?
As she stands right now, but probably won't change terribly much. Hardened steel hull with regular steel interior decks. Lvl 15 only because of the large thrusters; she's be lvl 10 without (but not as cool ). Main thrust is 20m/s forward without the Lg thrusters kicked in. I have two small gens running when power is on, 1 T1 gen that kicks in when thrusters are turned on, and a second T1 that kicks in when max thrust is set. Endurance is 56 hrs idle with no thrusters, grav, constructors or food processors running.
