Lol you are right ! they are mixed up, ummm I could have sworn all my boats were set right and set the same maybe they are all wrong lol I check now ! edit: haha most of the boats are wrong except the galaxy 110 xD I guess I know what I am doing for the rest of the day haha
I like to build ships too, where you can reach and repair every block from the inside or the outside manually. It's challenging and some design goals are hard to reach or have to be altered. But if you keep on, you will be happy with your work.
*haha I only came up to it, because I mixed them up on my brand new and first CV (hull shape not finished yet and of course without paint/textures, but with interior).
Easily done, I have set all ships correct now but not updated the pics. Even did the cruise ship haha Thanks for the heads up
I gathered an Iron deposit on a large planet. Took up my entire play time as it was on the opposite side of my base on a class 5 planet. These speeds are way too slow.
Its the planets too big, part of the reason we have bigger planets now is so that you can have somewhere that has long distance travel requirements. And so that people can be far away from each other. So the players who like the opportunity to spend more time flying round a planet in their SV can do so. Meanwhile the players who want less journey times can build on smaller planets. The speeds of the craft in empyrion cannot be raised safely without breaking the game, even hv are too fast for playfields to handle right now at 40.0ms instead of the old 25 or 32 whatever it was and they start to dip and randomly sink in water if your passing over it or on it at 38-40.0ms. Reduce the speed to 32-35 and no problem ! A size 5 is like 60km trip around the equator. My advice is find a nice size 4 to build on, its not overly large but not tiny either. might be a good medium for you and give you more play time and less journey time
If this is the case it means bad programming and a bleak future for the game as this is set to be FUTURISTIC. As for a 60km trip around the world, we can already top over 17,000 mph to enter space with our current technology. If this company plans on making a game where a person can spend an entire night doing only 1 single thing...they are not going to be making a game that is going to sell well as that caters to very few people...next to zero people that want to play alone and next to zero who are looking for a multiplayer game...and guess how many that want to play a PvP survival game? NONE. Increasing speeds is mandatory as those very few that WANT to take forever doing something can go slower.
I was playing Planet Explorers recently, and see somethings that can improve Empyrion, without remove its essence. In Empyrion, when we run, the stamina is consumed to fast. We can barely run 100 meters and the stamina run out. In PE, we can run for about 300 meters or more without consume all stamina. When running, and we jump, keeping Shift pressed, the stamina are consumed. In PE, it's not consumed, and if we use jetpack, we regain stamina, as long as we keep in the air. Foods in PE have vitamins, that can increase some stats. And the bonus has levels, base in how much vitamins are consumed. By the way, jetpack last longer in PE. We are talk about futuristic game, so, why not looking other futuristic games?
Later when the code is more optimized and less stress is on the playfields for it, then they will no doubt be able to increase speeds. Just gotta wait for it is all. For now though like I said just use a smaller planet because speeds cant be changed too much without causing game physics to go out the window.
Has anyone else noticed a bug with solar power where the battery charges to a certain level, becomes depleted and then will no longer charge?
Just figured… Spoiler: Anybody knows Lexx? Textured the engine room from yesterday: (just basic pre-work, for until after the Bridge is done) Spoiler Also, finaly i've done the 2 Restaurants (per side, so 4) that are at the front of the ship: Spoiler And the customs as well, finaly got some working place and People: Spoiler
@Sephrajin Lexx! Crazy show with a great look. Even if I could build stuff that big I'd never get around to texturing it. Minimalism is my way of avoiding those things.
lol so i step out my house into the beautiful sun and ... omg what you doing here ! clearly I need a fence. But I felt rather silly when I realised he was actually here to fix my van... He says he can get me a new genny for 300 gold, I think hes taking me for a ride, damn these local rip of mechanics...
I'm still busy to create a set of POIs for the game and this is what I'm about to complete tomorrow. I think this project took two months to get this far because my limited free time. If you liked the challenge in the Radar station this place will not disappoint. It may look innocent from the outside, but the interior let say.... evil in some degree. I'm abut to find it out how it taste in the combat test tomorrow. Originally the tower was taller and had a bottom part, what I had get rid off to keep it within the acceptable limits for the game.
Been going through some more of my shipyards. Just trying to refresh and refine them for each generation. So what was I working on? Malo-X. I didn't originally create this ship as it was created by @Maloverci . I really enjoyed the design and style. So when reworking their original Malo, I was trying to open it up more on the inside and give it more usable space. But I really wanted to keep the overall exterior the same so I based all my design decisions around the look of the CV. But this made me compromise many issues. Heat, Radiation and function issues. This is why I love refreshing older designs, you will see new ideas after "X" amount of time has past. So now I am not feeling constrained to follow the original design, but I am able to grow and fix some issues that I created with the previous version. So I made it a bit bigger and changed a few points to the exterior. I purposely moved items around to remedy the heat, radiation and made it more functional. I have an absolute blast with this refresh and it all started when I was taking screen shots of Malo-X on my last upload of the landing pad. Malo-X wouldn't land straight, while this was mentioned a few months ago, I had put it on the back burner and set it aside. So before I keep rambling I am just going to throw a few screens up here to show you all. And I'll have it uploaded here in the next couple of days. If you want to see more screenshots I would suggest joining up on the ZeroG Discord and check out the #screenshots channel to see more and other peoples works! Anyways screenie time!
