That's a striking build. The orange-lit furnaces and pipes look perfect against the lava. Your LED signs are one of the best uses I've seen of the things. Great job!
And Im back to building after a while again. The CV I was building on 5 month ago are still not finished, are a bit stuck in that its almost finished though. Then another smaller CV I just started on a week or two ago, its almost done, but something old came in the way. This is something I started long long time ago, but gave up when I realised how huge a project it was, for properly no interest from others, but with the new copy paste thing (havent tried it yet) I thought to give it another go. The proximity minefield: The steel blocks are only place holder, but each mine has a sensor, and the plan was to make a cube around an astoroid base. I hope I can make a small section now, and then copy it... BUT is it possible, are the mines strong enough? I havent tested them properly.
Unfortunately I don't believe explosive blocks actually do any damage to anything but the structure they are located on. The copy paste tool is a godsend but you'll still have to wire up the signals manually. Looks cool!
Worked on the UFO today. I still need to paint and texture the interior. The original shell Spoiler Add what I've turned it into Spoiler
Technically I didn't do this IN Empyrion, but I just spent the last little bit writing up a guide for making POIs in the Scenarios forum that I hope some people might be interested in. [GUIDE] Custom caves, asteroids, and terrain POIs
Two days ago I landed, after exploring my Sol-System, on the Temperate "Swamp"-Planet. It was a nice flat area, with a steep cliff behind and good LOS for incoming enemies. I started with the usual precautions by placing a perimeter of Heavy Towers. With a semi circle of 8 Towers in Place I started to clear the area inside from Trees and rocks. All seemed to work fine until I logged in this morning... only to find 6 of the 8 Towers floating with edged shaped terrain beneath them where it was flat when I placed them. I even lowered them several Blocks into the ground while placing them. In vain. Distance to the surface between 2 and 3 Blocks now - Result: Game Breaker! Fun gone. Don't want to built there... Pictures shows situation after placing 8 Towers two days ago You can see the Mist BENEATH the Towers Close ups
In a weak Moment I published all of my most recent (8.x) BPs https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198260694447/myworkshopfiles/
Relogging doesn't fix it? I suppose you could turn SI off temporarily while you add support blocks underneath them.
Relogging does not fix it, no. Logged in this morning, saw the situation, got frustrated with the game, "rage quitted". started to write the post here. Logged in again to take pictures - no change. I thought of placing blocks beneath to support the structures again, then using the T2 Drill and "reconstruct" the Terrain...but no...
I have a little request/challenge: I have almost build a new CV its an outpost ship, and I need 2 small HV for it, a harvester, and a driller. I know some of you people are really good in building in a specific theme, so I hope someone will try to make the two HV for my ship. Max 14-15 blocks long, 3 high excl turrets, and 5-7 wide. Pictures of the ship: and one of my HV try.
and it work as that.... decided to change the project a bit, and learned not to activate the sensor while live. Thought I was safe with no power, but learned the hard way that the bombs work fine without power had to fly 1km in cold space to get my stuff back.... I first need to set the sensor to a lever that are off before I can connect the sensors to the bombs....
Turn off "signals" in the control panel, or add all the motion sensors to a group and turn them all off. Should be safe then.... Maybe.
I was finally in the mood to build again and started on this light tank. It's armed with 4 missile turrets, 6 minigun turrets and 6 gatling guns, and I'm hoping to get some decent maneuvrability too.
