Yet another combat boat, an extended version with rear deck firepower added, 1 more artillery and 2 more rockets as well as 2 more miniguns popping out the sides. You might see these appear in a death match combat event on HWS sometime in alpha 9.
Today I started on my micro CV project, though I am tempted to take this back to alhpa 8. I really dislike this new storage system. I can't even preinstall a harvest box. Though that does mean It won't have the cool landing gears and ramp. My plan is to give this thing a ludicrous amount of firepower for it's tiny size. Right now it has 3 turrets, and hardpoints for 4 mounted weapons and an artillery turret. I really like the cockpit I got going, it gives a good view and has a cozy feel to it.
After some challenges in real life, it was nice to take a little break and modify a couple of my BP for testing in experimental A9. I couldn't get all the storage linked to a single CC, but I think the Steamer Duck will do alright with the new system. Did some minor upgrades as well to accommodate extra mass. This next is a rough draft of converting the Kiwi. In the first pic you can see both the original HV miner as well as the converted prototype. It has two harvest controllers, so it actually has double the volume listed in the second pic. I think with a proper remodel I could join that into a single harvest container with another 250+ L of total storage. There is a row of blocks separating the two containers, so if I merged it into one then those blocks would become part of the storage. However, I had to drop two fuel tanks to connect the storage blocks as is. Plus I added a couple thrusters in the rear. I think a full remodel will be in order at some point. Doing a concept conversion gives me hope that at least this BP can be converted and still be fairly true to form.
Tonight I worked on my Plasma planet. I surrounded the anomaly with a ring of plasma turret towers (armed with a BA plasma turret) and a ring of floating plasma sentries (armed with a HV plasma turret). The ground based plasma cannons can be avoided by flying high, the floating turrets can be avoided by flying low. I based the designs on the new Abyssal structures, all credit for inspiration goes to the authors of those blueprints. (they are seriously amazing looking) The idea behind the planet is that it's an extremely difficult planet with vast reserves of promethium, for those willing to brave the harsh environment and deadly Zirax presence. House Rados has come to mine out all the promethium, while House Abyssal is interested in studying the planet's strange magnetic and gravity anomalies and using the planet's extreme conditions to perform delicate research in peace. Abyssal tolerates Rados being on the planet, but they generally stay out of each other's way. You won't find any Rados bases near this anomaly. I plan on adding a large Abyssal research POI here to give players a reason to brave the turrets of doom.
Started building a new Carrier CV in Alpha 9 . Hopefully one day we will have better NPCs in space so I can put something like this carrier to good use.
I've made some major progress on my micro CV, but I still need a name. I've also shifted the building back to alpha 8. The inside is far from finished, but there is enough room to have all the things needed for a mobile base, including 6 growing plots and all medical devices.

Hmm... Christmas Paras...? Not even a Christmas Parasect...? Just... a Christmas Paras...? ... I don't get it. Personally I think a Christmas Abomasnow would make much more sense... even if it might not easily fit in the Avatar Pic Space. Looks like Cutting Edge design! *Ducks Rotten Produce*
