I wonder if you could some day make a (smaller) SV version of the Starduster? Damn, this looks awesome!
Neither did I. Apparently they hurt a lot, because @elmo was at full health at the time (well, at least she was until that happened...)
That is incredibly cool looking there! You did a great job on that one! Huh, that could be a possibility i would have to make the modules built into the sv tho. Still sounds fun.
Thanks for the praise, that means a lot to me. I think I will put it in the workshop and will refer to your design
Today marks 3 years since I embarked on this adventure we refer to as EGS. In less than an hour from now, I will have played for 5000 hours! I never intended to get involved in the community, which is why it took six months for me to join. I'm glad I did as it's a terrific group that has kelped me a lot in the past. Much has changed over those 3 years, mostly for the better, though I wish some things had stayed the way the were or had been added to rather than replaced. What the hey, that's progress. After all this time, there is a great deal I still don't understand. For instance, signal logic, switches, sensors and all that crap still eludes me. I've checked out a number of tutorials but they don't seem to help. This bothers me no end because half a century ago, I built a (simple) computer and wrote (simple) engineering programs using those very same principles. Must be dain bramage. Anyway, Happy Anniversary to me, and a very good evening to all of you.
No problem! I love seeing people modify designs, or even better getting inspired to build something new!
Ok so the Starduster is out and the foundation has been poured. Now it is time to show the next steps for the ZeroG StarFire Logistics Division. First we are going to show off the second module that will dock to Starduster the same as the StarLite HV. Screenie Time! StarLite (right) StarBolt (left) StarLite is a Exploration type HV, StarBolt is a storage type HV that has Defenses! Both working 100% with the Starduster CV! And... The StarBolt and StarLite are able to be "docked" to each other for a makeshift moblie base! So lets recap. The StarLite is a exploration vessel you use to hunt for resources with. The StarBolt is the Cargo Storage unit for you needs, but with the added bonus of automated defenses! And there definitely more coming soon!
Finally finished my Homeworld-inspired starter CV and updated it for A9. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1634434223
Building an abandoned survival tower of some kind, inspired by an EPIC Empyrion dream I had the other night. (Do I play too much?) There will be various versions of this in different states of decay, with many clustered together into a compound on some of the variations of dead planets. The idea is they were supposed to be self sufficient enclosed little communities, so they could survive in these towers until the planet's climate recovered enough for them to survive outdoors again. However, the planet never recovered, and the inhabitants of these shelters were lost long ago. They have a lot of silicon due to the windows so could be good to salvage, however the core will be on a different floor in each variation so it will be a bit of a challenge to find. Each floor will be dedicated to a specific function, such as living quarters, hydroponics, manufacturing, power generation, etc, and each variation of the tower will have the floors on different levels. They will also be a bit of a rare find, since they'll only show up on some variations of Dead class planets, in one location on each planet. On the other variations of dead planets, the inhabitants were trying to build space ships to leave the planet instead of shelters to survive on the surface.
I have started the long process of manually replacing all the ramp blocks on my 36 CV builds, and reworking the signal logic for them. (I am NOT looking forward to working on the Feynman because of it's "tailgate"). Today I gave the Condor the full 9.2 upgrade. (The only ship I built with a double layer hull). Replaced the ramps, put LCD screens on all the cargo containers, named all the cargo containers to match the LCD screens. Increased it's vertical thrust for high-G planets... It's hard to believe that I originally released it a little over 2 years ago. Out of curiosity I looked at the oldest blueprint I have in the workshop. It was posted Jul 6, 2016. Wow... I cannot think of any other game that has held my interest for so long. Which really says something about the developers. I did not know you could mount grow pots upside-down. You have given me ideas for a few of my builds.
YYyup!... more like replacement ramps.... I Wish I had this problem. Space tolerances are so different with the Mass/Volume/CPU mechanics that I pretty much have to redesign anything I made that moves in its entirety. Aside from the Outpost and Garden lines I'l likely do all the buildings as well.
They split the ramps into large (BA/CV) and small (HV/SV) when 9.0 came out. Just like they did with the cargo containers and ramp blocks. In 9.2 your BA/CV build will go red if you have not replaced them and try to update the blueprint. The game will automatically replace the ramp blocks when you spawn a build, and the devs posted commands to replace the cargo blocks in the console. But you have to replace the ramps manually.
Oh.... Thanks. Now I understand. I know they’ve added a new kind of ramp but I never knew that they had split the HV/SV & CV/base ramps. Quite honestly I’d like to see some decent sized vehicle ramps added. Say between 3 to 15+ high with a 30 degree slope & 5+ wide. I think a lot of capital ships could use this type of ramp.
At least you didn't "power played" like others here I wonder if your plants would actual grow as it was somewhere stated that you have to have at least on Block free above them
redid the Maul with more thrust and cargo space https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1634936956
This awesomesauce brings honor & radness to Truck Kind... Ya make it sound like being more addicted to this game instead of less addicted is a bad thing!
