Today, i thought about starting Empyrion once again after a long long break (V 8.x)....... After making my way through diverse forum threads iam kinda worried. :/ The sole reading about the "Volume implemation" makes me doubt how big my already big ships/bases have to be in the future not to mention how much i have to change all of my existing and "working" blueprints..... Guys, what i want from you are some nice "pros" for playing 9.x to give me a push in the right direction Or some tipps: how to start over again..... Greetings
You will want to start a new game, I cannot stress that enough. When you spawn a blueprint the walkway and railing blocks will be converted automatically. BA/CV extending ramp blocks will have to be replaced manually. You can use the console to replace the cargo containers with the commands below, that will quickly get the BA/CV 9.x ready while you decide which devices you want to update with the new ones. replaceblocks <entityid> 1081 1677 (2x1x1 containers) replaceblocks <entityid> 1084 1677 (2x1x1 containers) replaceblocks <entityid> 273 1676 (1x1x1 containers)
Besides of small Texturing details, of which I am not certain yet, the Landing Pad, 32 x 42 Block, is done. It has also a ramp so I can move the HV there too if repairs are needed. Now I can focus on collecting the remaining Materials for the SV Eridanus and afterwards start on the new Land-Ship sized HV that will determine the Size of the necessary CV to transport both of them.
I am having fun with the new game (each release is like a new game) the changes got me to start building my own ships, a plus in my book. Go for it all you have to lose is the time you wanted to kill playing a game.

I haven’t done a thing, yet, except to plan. Getting ready to start a new CV build, but need more Erestrum - which means a trip out in my current SV to somewhere less than pleasant - but it will be worth it. Thinking about doing some... creative construction along the way. Not quite sure how it will turn out yet, but it could be quite interesting.
Today I started with spawning in the Eridanus SV. I gave it a new configuration by changing its main Cargo Hold from 1 x 32k -(1CC+257CE) to 32x 250 SU Containers. Of course does that mean only less than 1/4 of its former capacity (still extendable) but it also, drastically, reduced the - neglected/ignored - CPU from 21.000 to 9580. Other details, such as a small CC/CE unit and a Mobile Constructor were added, also some texturing have been changed. New BP so I can test the changes. Planned is also to increase the downward trust and some more RCS. Tests. Tests. Passive Light effects
Didn't have too much time to work on my sun temple tonight. Just mostly added a few details here and there. Made sure the Talon patrols and guard posts were set up right (will add custom guard posts fit for desert). I don't know the budget that Eleon operates with, but if they don't have the money to hire you (or at least get you on some sort of payroll to keep creating these POI's, planets and "moods") they should do a bakesale or something. By all those cool stuff by all of you I hesitate show WIP pictures of the HV I have started a few hours ago. Anyway...looks currently more like a tractor on Tracks than anywhere near how I intend to do it.

Tried to proceed with the "Tractor" a bit. Couldn't, for what reason ever, activate symmetry Mode . So I had to do it all by hand ...and brain Capacity . After yesterdays work I looked at the Tractor very carefully and decided to elongate the front part by several blocks. Would have been not such a problem if SM would have worked, but..*sigh" I took a bit more time to do it. Further Pics of WIP ->
Last night I nearly completed the outer hull of a CV. Tonight I hope to finish it and start on the inner workings. So far I am pleased with this latest creation. I’ll have some images to share soon. And then, there is a solar system to explore!
Yesterday morning I wrapped up mining using a custom Merc x18 RSC variant. Finally got to spend some resources in my solo game. Used a converted drone base as my HQ while I finished up some parts for the factory. Even had to fly out to a nearby friendly Pol station to pick up some gold and steel planters. Factory built Mega Mouth the Carrier, a Hydra HV super tank, and a new home base Anathema Tower. Of course I had to tweak the Carrier with controller containers. Oh the Anathema landing pad crumbled because I placed it too high and added some supports top to bottom and it caved in, so I had to rebuild and added a ton of extra supports to prevent that from happening again. Also added some solar panels to reduce fuel burn. Speaking of fuel, I setup 20 water processors for Water containers and some smaller ones for purified water. Since i finished watching the last season of The Punisher a few days ago, then promptly read that Netflix will not make more episodes... i decided to imortalize hes legacy in EGS (please don't hurt me Frank, i tried my best and i had the best intentions for doing this). To lay waste on any and all opposition in the solarsystem without mercy. Multiple layers of combat steel where most needed, all guns, build to not have chain explosions, stuff needed to survive in a timeconsuming war far away from home. Go Frank... go take care of the last badasses in the solarsystem you magnificent creature... Thou shall not be forgotten!!!
