I did it lol. I'm going to double check all planets to confirm that I'm missing an Ore this time, I certainly was last time. Hopefully get time to play over the weekend. Scoob.
In creative mode, I have used cut and paste my BP when the orientation doesn't match the game orientation. However, I would have cut and paste only half at a time, because if I cut the whole thing it would cease to exist? Anyways, I would cut one half, click paste once, rotate and then past a second time to confirm the paste location. Then repeat with the second half and align both pieces. Occasionally I would have to fix some signal work and such that got broke in the process, but I would rather that than start all over. Of course, I was grateful that I saved the blueprint before I tried all this cut and paste stuff--as I said a mistake wiped it out existence. But since I had saved the blueprint, it was easy enough in creative to spawn it back in and start the process over.
I don't exactly understand why, myself, but I insist in doing everything in survival mode rather than working out concepts in creative mode first. I guess I get a greater sense of achievement after putting something together after having to scrounge for the parts and all other the work involve doing it while in survival. But it does bite me in the a*s on occasionally when I don't like the direction (both figuratively and literally in this case ) the design is going. I'll just chalk this one up as a learning experience and start a new game...I've got a few ideas for a better station anyways after working as far through this one as I have.
I too enjoy to build my Bases and Ships in Survival ONLY. I sometimes take them to Creative only to test theories or to improve the construction So it is with my current CV. I play a survival game so long until I reach the moment to spawn in the unfinished ship and work on it again with Mats I loot/gather. The Last shots of the AUGUSTUS before I started a new game.
Reminds me of Masperon. The sounds from that place totally freaked me out. I imagine this is the same or worse?!?!
Published a couple blueprints today. A military transport CV and an SV monorail car. I'm currently working on an update to Nexus station. I'm going to bring it up to 9.x standards and give it an overhaul, starting by deleting the luxury suites. The station's size has gotten a bit unwieldy and it's pretty laggy so I'm going to try and increase the performance. Unfortunately that means sacrifices. I'll expand the subway and install some landing platforms in that area. They'll use resources but they'll be simpler than the luxury suites that were there.
Today I reactivated two destroyed ships that rested near the field of bombs, in space. Just to see if they would really turn into usable ships. Repairing them is out of the question.
Today, I spent some time in SP. Not long enough to work on my relations with Polaris, but the timer did pass a bit before I can rerun the mission to do so. Should be on friendly terms soon enough I hope.
I don't know if it works now but it worked earlier several times for me. At least with the HAKON. The others are out of the question.
Sand Galley on display while trying to construct a monster in creative... These two Pics shows the construction while in Survival on the Landing Pad of the Palatin Base
You could cut the whole Station (after a Fresh bp save) and turn it to the required axis, then paste it ('twice'). hth
