It is the BP page, I'm afraid, not the stats page. Dimensions are in blocks not meters. It's what makes this challenge so... challenging; a sizable lump of the volume you're allowed are taken by the warp drive and cockpit plus the bodywork to get them to flow into the rest of the vehicle
Like others that have already mentioned, its max Blueprint size. (13 width, 6 height, 17 length) You could try modifying your existing build or create another one that qualifies for it? I do appreciate the enthusiasm! It is so wonderful to see everyone take on the challenge!
Question on the side here, i usually overwrite updates to the workshop. Do subs see these changes without doing anything ? Always wondered how that actually works.
Subscribed blueprints are automatically updated by steam, but this doesn't have any impact on ships/bases that are already spawned.
Yeah, a sub will see the changes. Oddly, if you change it while they are trying to construct it in the factory, it will give them a message of, "Blueprint Failed". This is caused by a change in the blueprint from point of saying produce to it finishing. @Bigfeet: Humorously, You actually did that to me, while I was building out Dark Starter Base. I had it in the Factory for a 2 hour build. During that time you uploaded a modified version of it. I think it's when you added the garden section.
@Whoom Tiny suggestion: Take the top layer of 6-7 blocks off, split and place on each side on top of those already there (giving 5-ish height).
aside again...I'm afraid we are all gonna be VERY familiar with this process in the coming months....lol
See now, sometimes they are rly small changes, can't help myself spotting an alternative. Have 3 edits allready in this entry, and i'm thinking of a fourth, a silly paintjob change. Can't deside, what do u guys think ?
I have a part-done Entry i'm workin on bit by bit. Yeah, next challenge, Jenn might wanna directly specify the numbers dimensions info a bit harder to avoid confusion. IE directly stating "W: 13 H: 6 D: 17" or some such. I vote left one. The extra gray on the right one doesn't really look to me like it does anything useful compliment-wise. ... *Wonders if i'm shooting myself & my chances of victory in the foot helping out fellow Contestants like this...* ... Ahh screw it, no way in hell i'll ever win anyway. SVs are never gonna be my strong suit.
I think it was her plan all along. At the end of the contest, everyone will be DQ'd and she'll win by default.
Sorry, I'm not sure I quite understand the suggestion. Maybe message me, and I'll take a look at the idea? Yeah, also include units. Empyrion does us no favors here though, by using one unit in the statistics screen (meters) and another unit in the blueprint screen. I wasn't even aware of those being different until people pointing out I had screwed it up!
The next challenge I will specify better the requirements, just for less confusion. Also any of my contributions to these challenges will not be eligible.
I have no idea why this is the way it is. It's like I say, "Technical Details matter". For the Topic: Have a finished Body for the Challenge, just needs its Test Run, & if that goes well, Painting, Texturing, Groupings, done.
Sorry to hear that, your work is amendable nevertheless. I take it you're going to be inspecting the entries ?
The Base model is listed on the workshop. The omicron variant is my personal ride and I don't list it. However if you are interested in the environmental kiosk arrangement the idea is if you have at least 5 sides enclosed on a one block wide section of structure, the temperature will be as inside would be. So on my little ship 3 sides are force-field under the o2 dispenser is solid block and the cockpit behind counts for 5. Mining gold on Aestus with a drone over lava fields was the proving trials. 543F outside the box. 71F inside.
