Mode: New single-player Survival from 2446 build SEED-ID: 298277, player at old farm at -8, 2600 MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: No Reproducibility: Always Severity: Major Type: Structural Integrity Summary: SI failing with proper support Description: I've tried all sorts of varients to add a 2nd large solar panel next/near the current solar panel, using either 4 large truss or steel blocks for the corners, or even 6 blocks including the middle of the panel. ALL the time, it instantly fails and falls through the blocks I'm placing it on. It doesn't recognize anything as valid before SI fails it and it drops. Steps to Reproduce: Just a large panel, in any shape (right click and choose shape), on top of some large blocks embedded a little into the ground. Use connect-to-base Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links: Easily, on request. Don't think this is super necessary for the bug report that is.

Please explain more in detail from what I'm describing below. It seems in A10/Experimental, the SI checks are very different. I started a new save with build 2450, and when it came time to place solars (and hangar doors), it seems the SI doesn't check edges anymore. I had to put a line in the middle of the block you're placing for it to recognize SI, and then using the edges can work to continue to support the block. Is the change to SI intended? I didn't catch any changelog lines that describe this SI change.
I noticed this when placing 2x2 horizontal windows. Currently you must have the point of rotation (1 of the corners with the rotation axis showing) placed next to the supporting block. Otherwise the window will fall down. In case of solar panels i assume you must have a block under it exactly in the middle.
Confirmed. You have to support the block at the axis while placing it, then you can remove the supporting block(s) if you dare.
there is something wrong with the structural integrity, not just for blocks... See that solar panel? i dont think 250kg should be a problem for that many blocks
