Hi Guys, Mode: Survival, A10 experimental 10.0.1.2450 Mode: Singleplayer SEED-ID: 844892 Reproducibility: Always Type: Base Building Summary: Shutterdoors can't be placed horizontally on base Description: When placing shutterdoors horizontally on a base, they always get turned into (SI) scrap. I've done this on bases in A9 to make a 'gate' and never had this problem. When you pick up the (SI) scrap, you get a 2x2 shutterdoor or 3x3 shutter door, instead of the normal one, and you have to place it again and salvage it to get the regular one back. Build base, place shutterdoor horizontally Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links:
Hi can you also attach the save game for this I placed some shutters horizontally & they were fine if they are reproducing in this location for you I would need the save game to look at it. Thanks.
Looks like duplicate of https://empyriononline.com/threads/si-will-not-let-me-place-blocks-6362.49039/ In the screenshot above the axis side of the 2x2 block is not touching any solid block, and so it will crash down. Oh the fix would likely be to build the whole doorframe first.
Here you go. I tried some more and I can place on the right side of this screenshot while the left one falls thru the floor Save game: in attach
Thanks for the tip, I'll review that other post (done). When you say 'the Axis side' you mean you need to make a closed doorframe for a shuttergate? I've put some textures on the concrete so you can clearly see what is build. basically it's floorplate witha wall, the wall has an open space where 2 shuttergates form a "gate", in previous builds I never put anything over arching on it (where the red line is on the screenshot). And it seems ineed the same "issue", makes sense that the SI check is different hence why I could build like this before and now it goes into SI failure. So where does the supporting blocks need to be to avoid this? Not sure I understood the explanation in the other post. Thanks
UPDATE: Fix is by building a block to 'support' on the opposite side, I added the yellow blocks and now it works. So even tho the shutterdoor is build on the blue blocks, the yellow block help avoid the SI failure. Thanks for the help in figuring this out.
