Hey everyone! First of all: thanks for your patience and your reports. Please keep sending them in + add as much observation info as you remember + your system specs. Second: as we have already posted, this is an issue with Unity 2019.2 which does not affect ALL players (and did not turn up in QA and also not in EXP). The devs are still trying to find a possible workaround to fix that on our side, but at the moment a rollback to the previous Unity version is also considered (which would also takes quite some time, I am afraid) and then possibly wait for an Unity version update. Please note: If the devs manage fo find a workaround we might release a SPECIAL VERSION on a different branch for further testing, we would then invite all those with the issue to try and test!
I must say - it is a bit confusing with so many locations of crashed logs & files... trying to find latest versions... they are everywhere In my 'case of startup crashing' I dont have logs & files every time (looking at logged time in my system) but I do have this startup crash every time before main menu - and I didn't had this Unity error pop-up box at all. My compressed Crash folder from last night from "...local/temp/eleon..." folder, and my Client Log from couple of minutes ago from games instal folder "...\steamapps\common\empyrion..."
Crash folder not found in my game installaion. Take my Log, please. And invite me to test your "special version" in the future.
I'm sorry I don't speak English Can you post version 11.1 as a beta archive in steam? Otherwise, those who wait until the update Unity will be released propose to roll back to version 10.0 and it is really bad.
we are still here, blocked for four days and the problem has still not been solved .. I'm sorry because just a few days ago I had convinced friends to buy empyrion but as long as there is this update I will advise against buying them as they would find themselves in purchase a non-functioning product. Thanks anyway for your work, I only advise you to hurry to avoid losing another users.
Hi guys for those who are experiencing the startup issue we now have a build for you to try out on a test branch. Right click on Empyrion in your steam library & select properties then click on the betas tab & then in the drop down option select the branch called 'steamtest'. If the issue still persist for you on that build please once again attach the client log & any crash logs generated.
If we do that, will we be able to play on a server ? I play now on my desktop computer which works fine ... But if i download that patch on my laptop, it will download too on my desktop ...
Works for me also - just starting and getting to main menu is much longer then before and game looks like it is dead for a moment or two... or three ... so be patient if you have similar situation! (great work, and this must be a real kicker for programers to find some solution)
Only those PC which had the Problems should get this EXP patch ... Test... Than the Devs will most likely add a solution how only "infected" PCs get a stable update that works for all. Don't play with it now. just test if you still have the start up problem.
Hi to all, In the test everything runs fine. Even after inserting my language, all saved games go and it runs even in high detail. I am glad that it has been put into operation so far. Do you have any information when it will be inserted into the main game? JerryPlayer
For actually "playing" we suggest to wait for the official update as the steamtest might not work with servers .. of course it does with SP and saves. (don't forget to switch back to the public branch = opt out of all other branches in the same menu)
Hello, there was a problem with running the game, but after this test the game started working! Please release this fix on the main branch of the game! Thank you
interestingly enough, removing all .efc files from content/configuration causes my game to not crash, it ends up in an infinite loading loop instead
steamtest branch does allow the game to launch, although it feels like it takes twice as long to actually get to the main menu
