This is NOT repeatable in Creative. In Creative, the shield protects the blocks from being multitooled off. Did not test other types of structures, so possible they are impacted as well (BA/SV/HV). Steps to Reproduce: Spawn in a CV that has a shield in Creative mode. Fill the fuel tank and penta tanks. Turn on the shield. Let it charge and come online. Attempt to remove a block with a multitool. You get an effect that the tool is bouncing off the shield, and no blocks are removed. Repeat the first 3 steps in Survival mode. Attempt to remove a block with a multitool while the shield is on in Survival. The block comes right off. Confirm your shield is on by trying to replace it: you won't be able to, as the shield still properly prevents placing of blocks, but doesn't prevent removal. I don't appear to be able to reproduce this is it still an issue for you in the latest build ? If it is still there for you is it with specific blocks ?
It was with all blocks, including most of the combat steel of my CV. I was not able to do this in my SP game in the current version, nor in creative. Previously, I duplicated this in creative, so something fixed, somewhere. BUT it is still happening on the MP server I am on... please see video (which I took just now testing this again). And yes, I tested that ramp block in both SP and creative... shield works there, fine... Server is on 12.2.3 (please see screenshot). Please let me know if there is other info/screenshots I can get? Hm. If I am not mistaken...A shield on a CV that is "parked" on a Base goes in-active. If not switched off it sucks your Fuel Tanks empty. In Creative you rarely spawn a CV on a Base so the Shield stays active
For CV's they shouldn't they cannot dock to BA's shield deactivation is only for SV/HV's (CV docked to another CV also "child vessel" has the shied disabled whilst docked) that are docked.
You are right my apology I just tried and saw it was not that way Picture shows CV hovering and landed on a Base - both times Shield stays active
The CVs in creative and SP were never docked on bases when it happened there. (edit to remove extra characters courtesy of kitten crossing keyboard)
