Hi All, I've started to have problems launching the game today. A friend is building a new SV and wanted me to preview it. I subscribed, and upon starting the game in team I get the initial splash load, but never get an error or a crash/error message. All that happens is a tiny task bar pops up in my screen that I can't interact with except to move or minimize it. Eventually it stops responding and I have to close it. No other steam applications are having the issue. No other changes have been made to the PC. Steps I have tried to address it: Rebooted Win10 PC Performed Update of Win10 OS Verified Files through Steam Uninstall and Reinstall Empyrion Unsubscribe from friend's blueprint Default run as administrator Attempted to change starting resolution from compatibility tab For reference here's what i'm seeing: Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have you tried deleting "Empyrion - Galactic Survival" from the windows registry ? I seem to remember this helping someone else recently who had a similar issue: There are two ways to open Registry Editor in Windows 10: In the search box on the taskbar, type regedit. Then, select the top result for Registry Editor (Desktop app). Press and hold or right-click the Start button, then select Run. Enter regedit in the open box and select OK. Go to: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eleon Game Studios & right click on "Empyrion - Galactic Survival" select delete (you may make a backup of it also at this point before deleting it by using the export option then save to desktop for easy finding) then try launching the game again from within steam or use the EmpyrionLaunchere.exe from the Empyrion root folder: Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival
Thank you, the regedit fixed it! I just thought it was super weird because there was only the one change. Thanks for your help/time!
No problem we're not too sure why this initially happens but deleting the registry key for the game resolves it for most players.
