Build: 3376 Mode: N/A SERVER NAME: N/A SEED-ID: N/A If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: N/A Reproducibility: Always Severity: Trivial Type: Multitool usage Summary: Multitool upgrade function requiring many button presses Description: In the past, when I wanted to upgrade the damaged blocks on the Damaged Hoverbike to steel blocks I would make sure that I had enough steel plates in my inventory than hold the mouse button down as I walked around the hoverbike with the multitool and and upgraded the blocks. I understand that this not only repairs the damaged block types but it also upgraded the carbon blocks to steel blocks. Now I will have maybe 1-2 blocks upgraded before I have to press the mouse button again. Sometimes it feels like I have to press the mouse button once for every block I want to upgrade. The multitool also seems less accurate now, and I have been removing blocks I did not intend to remove using that function. Steps to Reproduce: Use the upgrade function on the multitool. Recommend upgrading the blocks on the damaged hoverbike and dart to steel while testing.
I can confirm that issue. Tried to upgrade blocks on a SV from Steel to Hardened Steel with a stack of Titanium Plates in my inventory. While keeping LMB pressed it only upgrades 1-3 blocks before it stops and you have to click again...
Issue? You mean that if you try to upgrade all Blocks - in succession - the Tool stops after some Blocks, right?
I am also seeing the same issue with the Color and Texture tool, it stops working after a few blocks and you have to fire again.
It appears to be coming from an exploit counter measure that was put in it will be looked into again to see if anything better can be done to improve this & not allow the exploit that was found to creep back in. I don't appear to be able to trigger anything with the C&T tool can you show a brief video of you reliably triggering it or explain exactly what is need to be done step by step to reliably trigger it ?
I started a new game and attempted to replicate the issue. The C&T tool appears to be resolved, so it's just the multitool.
That would be great, if time permits, of course. Placing 256 Container Extensions, Box by Box, for a SV/HV CC/CE 32k volume is an arduous task.
