Fixed FPS drops related to the Sun [8113]

    Its not just on a dedi. I'm seeing this in SP on a my current RE save. In my case the sun doesn't even have to be visible for this to happen. If its midnight and I look strait down my frame rate can drop as low as half. Basically its any time I look at were the sun WOULD be.

    Same I am seeing it also on my SP Vannila Survival Save.

    Yes your right I can reliably force it to trigger in SP also.
    Btw this problem isn't to do with the sun it's coming from somewhere else & when we have a fix ready I'll update here again.

    Hey guys whilst this remains unfixed I was wondering does disabling "Texture streaming" in the video options menu improve the situation for any of you ?

    I seem to remember trying that, but it didn’t have any effect (FPS exactly the same before and after).

    A fix for this will be available in the next EXP branch patch sometime tomorrow.

    The fix is now available as of v1.6 B3509 now available on the experimental branch

    We’ve checked it out and we’re no longer experiencing the frame rate drops. Thanks for fixing it :)
