Seems to have something to do with the drop boxes. I noticed when you have a lot of them laying around it seems to make the game non-responsive.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game today, to test if that would help, and no, same issue. I don't have any drop boxes. that I am aware of, sitting around. Its a creative game, default generated base upon which I am trying to build an SV.
I was referencing when you destroy something or retrieve a block it leaves the little white box. When you get too many of these seems to cause the game to freeze and become non-responsive.
Oh no, I knew what you were talking about. In this case thats not causing the problem. But I did log in for as long as I could just to make sure it wasn't the issue, so I appreciate the suggestion.
Have you done a file integrity check in Steam for the game? Deleting the Cache in the Savegame folder could also help. If you did use the console command to change game mode or instant-teleport, that's the reason of your crashes, you should not use it.
So i am getting the crash without the console command or even teleport... Seems to happen a lot (Not responding) when you are breaking stuff down or removing blocks.
I will try the file check and deleting cache, but I started a new game as creative only to build, I dont generally change game type through console or use the teleport function, but those are good to know ill cause crashes.
So verified file integrity and 4 failed, so those were downloaded. Loaded up my saved game, tried breaking down a bunch of blocks, and again, it froze/won't respond.
In which game version did you start your creative game? If it's too old it may contain corrupted files and require that you start new, that would not be terrible because you can easily re-spawn everything in a new creative save.
Yea, mine was the same, new Creative in 1.7.8.. There seems to be a few things causing the "Not Responding to come up"
In your game / Configuration folder is there a file named Config.ecf ? If yes delete it and run the Integrity check once more before starting game. And if you did any changes to other files therein you must also delete them before redoing the integrity check. If you cannot remember anymore that you made file changes, then do these steps: - Backup this game folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves It contains all your saves and personal blueprints. However, after these steps you'll need to re-subscribe all Workshop objects you have subscribed before. - Uninstall the game, delete manually the entire folder 'Empyrion - Galactic Survival' in the Steamapps folder, and re-install the game. If after this, after starting a NEW game, if the game still crashes then it's an issue with your computer system, verify the specs on the store page, you need 16 GB system ram, a dedicated grafic card with at least 4GB VRAM and a decent processor speed. Compare these required specs with what you have. Also have the latest grafics driver installed. If your computer is fine the game should not crash after starting a new game. You can then copy back from your Backup your objects, and savegames 1 after 1 and see if they are troublemakers, then you have found the reason.
Does the issue you describe only occur when you're using the multitool to salvage/retrieve blocks from a structure ?
I just loaded a survival game, jumped into an SV and fought some Zirax drones, and within about 5 mins the game became non-responsive. So, it's happening in both creative and survival games (these are 2 separate saved games) during a variety of activities. edit: also, I have made no changes to the game files. I am running the Reforged Eden scenario in my survival game.
