    Build: v1.9 3982
    Mode: Survival
    Mode: Single Player

    SERVER NAME: N/A
    SEED-ID: 488626

    If applicable:
    MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: No

    Reproducibility: 100% for me
    Severity: Medium / annoying

    Type: CoQ

Summary: When I mine surface rocks, I get a CoQ as soon as the rock vanishes

    Description: As above.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1) Load this saved game and mine the rock in front of you with the Survival Tool

Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links:

    Linked above.

Note: I observed something very interesting when testing / confirming this bug report today before formally submitting it here. This only appears to happen if I'm offline in Steam. I regularly play Offline, pretty much exclusively in vanilla - only going online to update and / or if I'm playing a Workshop scenario that doesn't work offline.

Today, checking for updates, I launched the game while still Online and did not get the same CoQ when mining. I've not tested exhaustively by any means, but this is an interesting development.

Can you attach the log so it can be seen what is actually says in the log ?
I don't get any CoQ when playing with steam offline or online in your save game when mining any rock (stone or resoruces).

Here is the log from today's test. This was when I initially ran the game while Offline in Steam (and not physically connected to the internet - NIC disabled). Going online - initially just seeing if there was an update - then running the game while online see no CoQ occurring what so ever. I've played for over an hour, mining various surface rocks and no issues at all.

Can't explain it. Weird though, right?

I did try going offline again, after exiting the game fully, but I no longer get the CoQ issue. This is darn weird. I did not fully exit Steam though, not sure if that has any relevance.

If it's not happening for you - as it no longer appears to be happening for me - I guess there's not really anything for you to investigate, unless that Log gives you something.

I just had the issue again, this time while collecting Pentaxid Crystals. I saved, then collected another and got a CoQ again.

I am Offline once more, and NO Log was generated.

    Here's the save.

Load the save, try to collected the Pentaxid, it works, but I get a CoQ right after with NO log entry generated. I can Continue just fine though.

That log doesn't show any exception/CoQ.
I'm afraid again no error triggers for me with steam online or offline.
    - How are you launching the game ? via the "Play" option in your steam library I presume or EmpyrionLauncher.exe from the root folder ?
    - Have you customised any configs in the Configuration folder or any playfield.yamls for the defualt game ?

That's the thing I've noticed. Often when I get this CoQ there's NO corresponding log entry. Can't explain that.

Hmm, I've tried verifying my install a number of times - everything appears to be fine according to Steam - and I'm just launching the game via the "Play" button in the Steam client.

Not touched any configs or playfields. I do have two Scenarios installed - Reforged Eden and Star Salvage - but I'm of course starting a vanilla v1.9 game in these instances.

Sorry you cannot reproduce, seems quite consistent for me. I could try recording some gameplay, but I doubt that really helps you much.
