I always use the .jpg screenshots from the Steam overlay, they take up a lot less space than .png files do.
Do you have a screenshot of the CPU statistics tab?

    Yup!

I think I've sorted it now... I added some CPU Extenders, being as their free in Creative... lol

I figured I'd give it a bit of polish and fire it up as a 'folly' in the Blueprints Workshop, if I can figure out how to do that!

    I am 52. :)

    If you want a laugh...
Tier 4 CPU, and it's essentially nothing more than concrete blocks and a core.

Today, I reworked the 2 Leviathans in the workshop.

I have been debating on a V3 but I was wondering if anyone considers the build viable.
Is there a need in the game for a CV that hauls other CV's?

The V1 is on top, the V2 on the bottom.
The only difference between the V1 and V2 is that the V2 uses the larger hangar bays on both sides.
A proposed V3 would use the smaller bays on both sides.

    (I know, it's a lunchbox.)
    Thoughts?

Do you ever get one of those games where an early, seemingly random, choice totally changes how the game plays out? My current game is like that. It's a Reforged Eden game, so it has a few extra challenges in there. Anyway, it all started when, right at the start, I chose to travel West - going with the Sun - rather than East. Simple as that.

This start did not have a nice, friendly starting biome "crash site" with all the basics a new player needs. No, the starting area, while pretty (Odd Temperate planet) had no deposits to speak of...I mean, no deposits at all, just the odd surface rock... and not a wide selection of those. It also had rather a lot of unfriendly critters. I did circle the area, using the hand-scanner, but nothing showed up. I managed to scavenge my way on foot, choosing to head West with the sun, collecting what meagre resources I could, before setting up a temporary camp on a little spit of land, protected on most sides from wandering critters. I used this time to craft Ingots and food, reducing my load, before moving on.

I appeared to be very close to enemy (Zirax) territory, travelling along a narrow corridor of neutral ground between two large enemy-held areas. My direction was set for me as North-West due to this. After a while playing I had a full inventory again and needed to settle down. I was hoping to find an area with deposits, but still nothing found during my travels, not even a blip on the scanner, bar hostile POI's in the enemy territory I was skirting.

Eventually, I found something that might just work as a temporary base, a Ruined Landing Pad POI. That'd do. I settle down here, still very resource poor, having to mine what surface rocks I can find while avoiding the local wild life. Initially, I just wall in the POI - no Core - so I was safe from critters. That felt like a major milestone on its own! Eventually, after some hours, I have a basic base, defended with one Minigun turret - for which I could only craft 250 rounds - an Assault Rifle for personal defence, 150 rounds for that. And, after a little while longer, a basic HV for hauling supplies. Venturing further afield - still no deposits - I scrape together a few more supplies, but not much.

Now I'm more mobile - upgrade to the HV to use regular hover engines and thrusters - I retrace my steps back to the escape pod. This time, heading East from that point, rather than West. Within moments of heading East, the scanner lights up with POI's and resource spots, EVERYTHING I could possibly need in one place. Like a starting biome (aka crash site) but actually just a regular Forest biome. None of this was in scanner range of where the Escape Pod landed lol. The wrecks weren't even in visual range during my descent. Amazing how much ground even a basic HV can cover vs. someone on foot.

So, that early-game choice to go West with the Sun rather than East into darkness made this start significantly more challenging that it needed to be. It was quite fun though.

Yeah, I always travel West as my days are longer and that gives me more time to get organised, on occasions I have had to dig a hole and put a tent up inside, scatter a few machines for cooking/smelting and set about continuing round the world in the morning, or if I have a Bike I usually wait a few hours before setting off, riding through the Trees and or Mountains at night is no fun, I've had my bike bike destroyed a few times by meddlesome critters, "Oh, this is awkward"

I have been doing a lot of building for the game recently, I really need to remember to do an actual playthrough at some point. :)

Todays project, doubled the height of the docking bays on a Hsiftac.

.. but sacrificed the ability to haul HV's in order to do it.

I am going to rethink the ramp arrangement but I an failing to see a way I can have ramps for HV's as well as the double ramp hangar doors and make it look good.

I am still working on using the airtight ramps as hangar doors, I came up with this today while I was playing around with it.
At least this time HV's can use the hangars.

The original is on the right with the two variants to the left of it.
Both of the variants have twice the height in the hangars, one can transport HV's and the other cannot.

Now lets hope the Devs will give those ramps more HP in the future.

For the first time, I am actually building ventilator ducting networks in my ship.
As opposed to just putting in a vent in any room requiring air which I usually do XD

It is nice that you can get 1 ventilator, and have up to 6 separate channels coming off it which feed o2 to different areas of the ship, and if 1 of those areas gets opened to space, the others are not affected, as long as the channels are not linked.

Its a fun concept to play with if you have enough free space in the ship.

I am just doing an interior rebuild of a large PvP CV I made in HWS some years ago.
As it was a sweet design I wanted to give it a PvE remodel.

Can tell I have not played for a while, I am having too much fun with simple oxygen aha

After going through 3 variations for the larger hangar doors I decided that I am going to go with the second try because I wanted to be able to transport HV's as well as SV's in the model with the taller hangars.

These are the two versions, the (new) version on the left doubles the height in the lower hangers and increases the vertical thrust (because of the additional weight) but the top section is identical.
A few cosmetic changes and I think it will be ready.

Hopped on for the first time in gosh knows how many years and WOW! I'm impressed with how much the game has changed. Graphics look great, and best of all, most of my old BPs look like they're still valid! Wooo!

Starting a survival game on Easy and hoping to get a CV built for a nice mobile base.

Love the progress! Other than Rust, this is by far the most successful Early Access game that I've ever backed. I'm impressed to see how far the game has come!!

Ha! Welcome back Slam. Good to see you.

This gave me an interesting idea - have a ventilation duck external to the ship, even through space.

That also gave me an idea, a airtight trap door over an ventilation shaft so you can turn O2 off in large areas by blocking it.
I know the doors have an airtight seal when open, but do the trap doors?

Since they do not have a forcefield effect I was hopeful they would not block O2 when open.
Sadly, that was not the case when I tested the matter. They still block O2 when open.

Glad to be back! For a few years there I put all my Space Game eggs into the Star Citizen basket, and sadly, progress there has been all but nonexistant. And plus it doesn't really run on my PC at any fps higher than 10. So, based on all that, back to Empyrion! Almost certainly going to take a look at Starfield when that comes out... looks epic!

As for Empyrion, I started with an HV and kept adding stuff to it, like drills and spotlights. Using it, I managed to build a small base, and a few SVs as I went through my old BPs and tried to figure which one is best for survival. Turns out I used external seats a lot, which don't provide warmth in space, which lead to me almost dying on the way from Akua to Ningues. Built an old SV that had an enclosed cockpit and managed to make the trip. Mined some Cobalt and headed back to base to continue re-learning how everything works.

Gotta say I love having constructors on SVs and HVs now. Can use an HV as a temporary mobile base now, which I enjoyed quite a bit. Seems like the same for SVs, which is very convenient.
