Being able to set small unarmed vessels to patrol between two or three points would help that a lot without unbalancing the game.
I agree and plus Space right now doesn't seem active enough for me. I would love to see space have way more activity to make you feel like you're in a living Universe. Having way more NPCs ships in space just flying around and I think two or three points like you're saying would be enough. Cargo ships, small transport and military ships just flying around. Also having enemy fleets patrolling the harder planet areas would be coo.
I showed this to a friend that hasn't played Empyrion in a long time and he thought I used a photo editor to make this picture look better than it is . lol All I did was add the text just for fun. Well let's just say he is back playing Empyrion again. lol
Can't move Blocks around, but can Rotate them. Equip your Multitool, RMB to bring up its Radial Menu, then select "Change & Rotate", then ya can Rotate Blocks the same way ya can with the Block Placement, except it applies to whatever Block ya have your Crosshairs on.
I just found a goody on the workshop! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1130324076&searchtext= Alright, you convinced me, I have a bunch of stuff I want to do with this game in the next few days but they might requiring a bit of waiting; may I have your permission to tinker with this or the older model shell you have posted? They are awesome designs. Thumbs up for sure.
Sorry for the long response time, bur had to sleep I did something simular yesterday with levers. I have not worked with custom settings, but with levers its like this: Lever 1 and 2 go into an OR gate. Output (3) you send to engine A and RCS A. Lever 2 you send direct to engine B, RCS B and the turrets.
But of course! Please tinker to your hearts content - I'd love to see what you can do with it! Thanks again for all of your kind words, and for following/commenting on Steam. I do appreciate it very much
Yes - I'd love the models to be able to sit/recline too. There are times even in my SP game that I just want to sit my character down, have a cup of tea, and gaze out a window at something pretty.
@jmtc Passenger seats are great for that But obviously won't work for bases. But for them I have seen people do HV seating areas.
First submission after reading through this page for what must seem like an age ... been working on a survival base and finally got it to a semi decent level , lots more to do yet but thought I would show it anyway for you to take apart May I present - New Beginnings Had a lot more screenshots but limit is only 10
I was building another ship and the rear end came out looking like the front of this taxi. But also reminded me of an episode of ninja turtles in the early 90s when the cool kids from dimension x came over in flying cars xD I built this taxi after.
Today I was working on making an airtight version of the Jumping Jack with gravity and a constructor for my small generator CV challenge. I have been learning the hard way that constructors, repair stations, & gravity generators eat a lot of power. I'm still trying to balance out the ship, steel blocks to make sections airtight, truss blocks in areas where I do not need to worry about air. Currently there is no O2 in engineering, where I placed all the hazardous components. BUT... the ship still redlines during atmospheric flight on Omicron. That's with only 7 small thrusters operating and the constructor, repair station, lights & gravity turned off. Gah, keeping the power requirements low is a pain, I guess I can make it within the challenge if I remove one of the two rear S thrusters.
Nice work! I like the road connecting different parts of the base together. Also the grease pit is a nice idea What do the levers on the wall do?
Many thanks, I am thinking of having a similar road around the other side where I will place the living quarters and maybe a couple of "guest" landing pads also 1 lever for the roof hanger doors to open or close and the second lever is for the grease pit lights, I am going to be working with switches and sensors this weekend after some great ideas on here with regards to LCD notifications for ON/OFF etc ... slow work , but I'm sure not as slow as digging out a 14x14x7 underground hanger was !
I have used the passenger seats in my SVs for general lackadaisical hanging about, good call. It seems that in the current version that freelook isn't available from passenger seats though - I do seem to remember that it used to be. The past several days I've been building in creative, but tonight I've turned back to my ongoing SP campaign. Fresh off my pacification runs on Skillon, Aitis, and Oscutune, I've dug in on Omicron and am about halfway through the planetside POIs. Today I took out a Radar Station and an Armory, and paid a visit to a civvy research station. Having fairly recently returned to the game after a few months off, I continue to be totally floored by all the new and updated POI models and new NPC mobs. Between the ever-evolving building tools and features, and the steadily improving and increasing survival content I've really fallen in love all over again with the game.
I made my biggest sv so far last night. nOt huge but bigger than my usual. Using the technique I have used on my last 2 builds I worked on a thruster core system before building the ship. The result was not so bad, given her size, she has an all round 33ms with 60 at the rear. I have not attempted to improve these stats yet. She has some nice interiors. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1131352082
