Okay then... those three i came across just today. Apologies for my bad drawing talent - alternately i could provide you with the coordinates of the Corners, or the vectors of the edges - would be more precise, maybe? The first is quite common - the transition corner between 45° and 60°: Next - the matching transition block below: and the most interesting one of these: its block 1E from your matrix, but compressed on half the length. Of course, they come on top of the ramp bottom corner from Ian Einman, that i am begging for literally since years...
You are all nailing it. I dare not tell you how "excited" I am right now looking at these suggestions. =P
The size of the walls must be corrected to allow straight slopes over multiple blocks. If you combine E7 with F7, it's not straight, it has a kink. Reason: Walls are just 15 % wide, which means E7 from 0 % to 15 % (= 15) and F7 from 15 % to 50 % (=35). To correct this, walls should be 25 % wide, but this would be too wide. [0 - 25 - 50 - 75 - 100 = 5 sizes] Or walls will be reduced to 12.5 % (1/8), so we have a compatible size, but it will result in much more shapes (but could be very flexible). [0 - 12.5 - 25 - 37.5 - 50 - 62.5 - 75 - 87.5 - 100 = 9 sizes] Or wall will be sllightly increased to 16.7 ... [0 - 16.7 - 33.3 - 50 - 66.7 - 83.3 - 100 = 7 sizes] I think that a compatible size system is needed to make all possible without compromises ...
It would be great to have more blending options when transitioning between 45º and 30º/60º angled blocks, such as here: (edited as requested) It is possible we need a couple more for complete transitions like this (especially at the very bottom/midway up), but I'd be happy to start with these. There are many other good suggestions in this thread too!
Can you mark where you would want to have a transition-block added? (open in paint and draw some lines of the block shape you desire into this)
OK I edited the picture and put notes - I'm not very good at drawing so hope that shows it clear enough to make sense, thanks!
Limitations of the game engine. There's a set number of slots available and it can't be expanded at this time. Also if people become dependant on custom "modded" blocks, proper feedback and bug reports become impossible when custom blocks cause errors that otherwise wouldn't occur with each and every update.
