Steps: HV with harvester and T2 drills. Use drills to remove rocks. Try to exit cockpit. See message. Only way to exit cockpit is to reload game.
Hi can you attach the save game with the HV this happens with ? I guess you are playing in SP ? SP saves are found here: SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Games Right click on the save file & place your mouse cursor over 'Send to' create a compressed copy of it then drag & drop a copy in your reply box in the link above or use the upload a file option. If the file is too large use a file hosting site like mediafire, dropbox or google drive then add a share link to it. & if possible could you show this happen with a short video ? (upload to youtube, google drive etc)
Here is the save game created? when I backed up and exited the game. The should be only one HV, so picking which one should be easy! https://www.dropbox.com/s/6vutcuty6z4pg1o/NewGame_0-190131-2053.rar?dl=0 I am not a film maker, so I have no experience doing such. Have to say that this has happened more than once. But I am unsure if it is repeatable, as I have not tried to repeat it. T2 Drills might be the culprit. Yes I only play survival mode.
this has happened to me randomly since I started playing in sept 2018 and still happens randomly. Exit game log back in and you can get out. similar to the tree that can not be harvested log out log back in and almost always harvest away.
This is not something that I have previously encountered. It may be due to not having used this particular combination of items, viz. I have started to use a new BP from the Workshop that I have been modding for personal game play style. If I were to guess I would say that I noticed it in 9.x but not in 8.x.
Yes that was noted but after playing around in the save for over 1 hour & then other saves nothing happened.
The nature of intermittent failures. I can go for 20 hours and not have it happen than have it happen 3 times in 10 minutes. I first encountered it in the drill pup mutt, but it has also happened in a highly modified minion and a ship I built from scratch. It has happened in all the game versions and builds I have played.
This is a backup I just made. I have not yet exited the game. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wylectvgyvknu52/NewGame_0-190201-1913.rar?dl=0 Things that might be of note. 1 - I have T2 drills extended and selected whilst in external view mode of HV. 2 - I had been drilling rocks to clear a path. 3 - I have weapon turrets active. 4 - I just shot down a drone above a deposite site. Thoughts: Why would the game believe that a reload was taking place? Since the T2 drills never reload, their reload reads as 0/0. I was not personally using a turret, I was driving and drilling all the time. I have two ammo boxes. As we know ammo is drawn from one box until it is empty. The <first> ammo box is empty. I just tried transferring some ammo to the first box, then I jumped into a turret and forced a reload. Got same message about not being able to exit craft. Did a manual reload for the rocket turret, that did not fix the issue either.
I went through all turrets and manually reloaded them. No turrets now require a reload. What does the game think still needs a reload, why has it not been able to perform the reload despite some time passing? I tried using the consol to gain more information, but did not see any commands that seemed relevant.
Oh, just got this: Please DESCRIBE what you did before the error occurred: <this is a link to the log file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ub5f6jkvob68dpn/Client_190201-190500-98.log?dl=0> > Please ATTACH the latest Client_*.log files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Logs\2210 Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601) 64bit Version: Alpha 9.3.0 2210, RAM: 32 GB ---- Initialize engine version: 2017.1.2f1 (cc85bf6a8a04) Version: Direct3D 11.0 [level 11.0] ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Argument is out of range. Ok this may actually be a known bug reading this. When AI turrets become empty & they begin to reload any mounted weapons (tools I would guess also) are forced to reload. As soon as that issue is resolved I believe this will be resolved also. I'll post back here when the mentioned issue has a fix in a build release.
All posts made on Feb 1 were in real time. That is to say, I started playing, encountered the issue of not being able to leave the vehicle and only restarted/exited the game after the last post - the error. Hope this makes sense. To be clear, the planet is a lava type, so I only wanted to exit the craft to loot the drones I had just shot down whilst trying to locate an optimal mining location.
Hi can you try this again on the latest experimental build & see how it is there ? https://empyriononline.com/threads/alpha-experimental-9-4.47585/
