Fixed Uncontrollable, near-instant super-speed in god mode [6007]

Summary: Uncontrollable, near-instant super-speed in god mode

Description: When holding Ctrl+Shift+Space with the Jetpack on, then pressing G, the character immediately goes into orbit, then proceeds to accelerate at an insanely high speed (somewhere around 1,000,000 units/sec^2) along the vertical axis. This also occurs with Ctrl+Shift+C. In trying to return, I ended up at -39,000,000,000,000,000 on the vertical axis (see screenshots; note: I assume the weird screen glitch seen is due to the extremely high Y value in some way, which is practically impossible under normal circumstances, so I do not see it as a bug). Opening the map at this point immediately Crashes to Desktop.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Equip and activate Jetpack
2. Type 'gm' into the console
3. Press G to exit god mode
4. Hold Ctrl+Shift+Space at the same time
5. Press G to change into god mode

CTRL + movement keys (WASD up/down) moves you with super speed in "gm", so a feature to not need to use teleport all the time. Ought not to create crashes though.

 

I'll edit the map bit out; I suppose that would be another bug entirely.

However, it moves you at such high speeds that it is impossible to get anywhere useful. You just end up quadrillions or quintillions of blocks away from the planet. This occurs when you hold CTRL + SHIFT + <Movement Key>, then press G (to enter god mode).

EDIT:

• Removing using the map, which crashes the game at this location, because that would be another bug entirely, albeit it will become nearly impossible to get once this one is patched;
• Changed severity from 'Minor/Crash' to 'Major';
• Minor rewording;
• Adding actual images rather than a link to the images.

 

This happened to me too but I couldn't figure out how to reproduce it. I think what I was missing was pressing G.
