Before you ask I currently start a new game to look for confirmation- Next game opening Small wreckage container nothing to see, closing, opening again, 3 computers. Not persistent as in the next small wreckage the parts were shown at once. I keep an eye on it.
Seem to sometimes only happen after the client has been closed & restarted then try again on a container.
Just to confirm the changed behaviour from Flare icons to blank in build 2315. I have also been working on reproduction steps, and have not found a reliable method. The problem is there most of the time, but whenever the same steps are taken to document the issue, the problem does not reproduce reliably. Observations: The icons correctly update whenever any of them are manipulated in the container. The icons may update if the container is closed and opened again. Saving, closing the game, and restarting brings random results - Sometimes the problem remains, other times, not. Mostly the issue is present however. Conjecture - I only seem to notice this once I have used the virtual toolbar, but this needs confirming with several fresh starts. I'm still working on finding a pattern while I track another issue regarding mass of the container and the virtual toolbar. The UI does not appear to update correctly, and indeed, mass is definitely being removed from the container, so the dynamic updating of the UI may be significant to this issue. [Update] I have been tailing the Unity console, and see a pattern to this now. Whenever the container UI icons fail to display correctly, the following log entry is made Code: Could not find method 'SetLabel' on UIScrollablePopupList This is absent when the UI displays correctly. The same entry can be seen in the game console. [Update2] That was premature, and I am now seeing the bad UI without the message. This does not necessarily rule the error out as a possible cause of this problem as collateral damage in my experience.
Its still flares, invisible ones, but like in the describing window tiny picture - a flare. Even if it is a tool. The slightly highlighted boxes at the bottom of my inventory are ammo, scanners and tools. And happens not one time about several times
Nice observation. This issue is somehow familiar... Conjecture - The "default" texture is the flare as a placeholder somewhere in the assets. It is replaced by the actual item icon where present. The Z position of the texture on the canvas is incorrectly being set, and possibly falls behind the existing texture until the canvas is refreshed. [Edit to add] The title of the tooltip for the items is also being lost, and instead shows the reference as seen in post #25 image. I do not believe this deserves the "Fixed" status.
@Pantera @Taelyn @Hummel-o-War Shouldn't the header be changed? It's not fixed at all. Or should this thread be closed and a new one started?
This is the "it's full of flares" issue that was marked fixed in the last drop. The same basic issue only now it shows grayed out lock icons without a count instead of 999888 flares. If you select a different container the container icons refresh to their correct inventory when you switch back.
