    SERVER NAME: N/A
    SEED-ID: 317521

    If applicable:
MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: DontKnow (Increased number of starting planets)

    Reproducibility: Always
    Severity: Minor

    Type: Terrain structures

Summary: Terrain-placeable structures no longer block new terrain-placeable structures

Description: If you place a terrain-placed structure (portable constructor, emergency O2 generator, portable heater/cooler, etc.) on the ground, it no longer blocks placement of another terrain structure at the same spot. The new structure completely replaces/deletes the previous one, with nothing returned to the player (the original structure is lost).

Steps to Reproduce: (steps to reproduce the issue. This is ESSENTIAL for a bugfix!)

    1. Use item menu to give yourself a few portable constructors and at least 2 emergency O2 generators.
    2. Stack the O2 gens on your hotkeybar.
    3. Place an O2 gen on the ground.
    4. Notice you have a blue cursor to place the next O2 gen in the stack... right on top of the first one.
    5. Place the second O2 gen on the same spot as the first. The stack count goes down in your inventory.
    6. Repeat placing in the same spot until your stack is gone.
    7. Pick up the O2 generator. You only get one back; the rest are gone.
    8. Place your O2 generator down again.
    9. Hotkey a portable constructor.
    10. Notice you have a blue placement for the PC right where the O2 gen is.
    11. Place the PC where the O2 gen is.
    12. The O2 gen disappears, and is replaced with the PC.
    13. Repeat in reverse: same thing happens.
    14. Test with other ground-placeable items: happens also for the heater/cooler.

    survival, dediserver

Can place portable constructor on ground, and then place heater/cooler at exact same spot, overlapping it. This will destroy portable constructor, and evreything inside map (you get message about constructor no longer existing and getting removed from the map).

It's not something most people run into, so you still have to look around in the bug report forums. I think just the "everyone is going to see this and report it" stuff gets thrown into "known issues" list (could be wrong there). It'd be a nightmare to try to track all the little things like this in there, too!
