The main issue is that whoever created those "floating" POIs did not bother to create foundations to sink the building into the ground. So most of them are "surface-only" and impossible to place 1 or 2 blocks into the ground without covering devices, entrances and other stuff meters high with soil

I noticed that some blueprints when you spawn them into creative mode, have their centers offset. This causes the game to flatten terrain at the wrong spot when the POI is spawned, causing floating or buried POIs.

    Steps to reproduce:

Spawn the destroyed mining towers blueprint in creative mode. Notice when you're in spawning mode that the entire blueprint is offset from the center. Not sure which other blueprints are affected. (I first noticed it on one of my unused ones).

@Germanicus & @ravien_ff , (I remembered the name "Destroyed Mining Towers" in hindsight...lol) I've encountered these towers many times but this is the first where they are floating and off center. There are others like the large wrecks that are also floating. I just started this new game after a few weeks off; seems to be related to the last updates.

The offset to the flattened area where it appears the POIs should be says to me there is an "oops" (another highly technical term) in location address.

I just started a non-experimental (public branch) game, applied map and god mode went to quite a few POIs and all was centered and appeared at correct height (elevation).

I then deleted my saved game files and started a new survival game using seed 935691 (which leads to seed 612340) and again went into god mode and map and checked both the large wreck and the destroyed mining towers. The large wreck was floating but appeared to be centered, while the destroyed mining towers were quite a bit off centered and floating.

After checking more POIs in that game/planet I did not find any others that were floating or off centered.

Edit: Had to get back into game to get a save game file for you. (lol...ignore the broken leg )

Just to ask are there other POI's any of you have found with this issue that can be reproduced ?

Not that I've come across so far. Though I'm only on starter planets at this time.

If this helps track down the issue, I have a blueprint that is literally just like a plane of filler blocks + a core that is now offset and therefor any POIs that are made from this original blueprint got offset as well. The blueprint was fine in previous version. Copy-pasting the filler blocks to a new base starter fixes it.

    Offset when spawning:

The name isn't centered after you spawn it:

Any POIs created using this blueprint (spawn it in creative, edit it, then save it as a new blueprint and add it to a scenario as a POI) will also be offset in-game and won't flatten terrain at the appropriate location.

This is also causing some blueprints to be offset along the vertical axis, causing custom POIs to become either buried too deep or to float.

There is a fix on exp B2545 for the structure shown in the op.
For other structures that are offset a command will be done soon to reset them which will be explained.
