Seems to be related to the fuel tank or generator, just took the green pads off, fuelled the hv and got in the cockpit and it crashed the game.
This started happening to me today with all HV's I tried building. As soon as I get in the cockpit it wiggles down through the terrain and crashes to desktop. Even spawned on top of base blocks it still falls through and crashes the game. It also has an extremely high chance of corrupting the save forever when it crashes as well. It corrupted 6 creative games in a row for me. Zero crash logs generated for me, and yes I looked in all the various locations in appdata as well. Luckily I wasn't building in my survival save that time or I wouldn't be a very happy camper right now.
Following PDA. Made a HV using repulsors small gen and fuel tank. "Take it for a spin!" Got in, turned it on, it jiggled a bit and sank into the ground where everything was white. It froze up and CTD. Disappointed anyway because during a storm I went into the lake to look for resources (Swimming) and it was raining under water. Normally I get two drops from a rock oft times I'd only get one. I think one sometimes sinks below ground.
