Or the requirement to "Dock" your CV to BA in order to access stored items to or from via a computer terminal!
More blocks that would allow for more angular designs ie: longer rounded in length and hight A field screen that would help pick appreciate block design to facilitate structure design
This thread seems dead. but I will give my opinion anyway I am a huge factorio player and the modding system there is quite good. Its based on LUA and it has the possibility to add entities, recipes and so on. They have a good insulated API that ensures that the actual game play is not compromised. Also when the devs see a mod they really like they will incorporate it. BTW the two biggest thing I would like (as a mod or not) is 1) sorting cargoboxes and inventories 2) pinning a tool in the toolbar. Ron
Can we please have a multi-tool, that can be mounted on a small vehicle. Details: SV multitool functions like the HV version. It is "direct fire" mounted device, like all other SV weapons. (W,H,D) = 1/2/1 Unlimited ammo, as it feeds from the vessel power supply. All that would need be done is a new mesh/material/texture for the device. All other code to create this device is already in the game, so all the devs need to is to code the appropriate calls to the c# scripts and/or include the script components to the game object prefab, for it to function. If you don't want to do it, I'm a Unity 3D developer... give me the source code and I can do it myself.
I love to have Mod that lets you be other then Human look 2nd faction Banks and Ship control like set to Faction but you use it but can't take it apart ... 3rd BIGGER bag space more then 49 Slots even the current mods are limited to 49 4th True WORM or WARP gates so ships can go through them and they can be player Made
I'd like to request a mod that turns off collision detection to allow blocks to be placed inside other blocks. I'd like to have shuttered windows by clipping shutters into a doorway. I'd like to have small windows by clipping a doorway into another upside down doorway. I'd like to be able to make walls in my base and also be able to place tables in the same blocks. Stuff like that.
I am working on something that allows players to build their own weapons. Check my into in the Hangar.
Container Content Sorting, 2 versions: 1. Sort Current Container Contents into Rocks, Ores, Ingots, Mechanic, Electrical, Organic, Manufactured, Blocks, Weapons, Ammunition, Devices, Decorations 2. Sort the Contents of a Container, as above, but move them into different containers based on sorting parameters.
I think it would be a very risky move. The game has many failures to correct. Adding mods now could be fatal to both performance and gameplay. And I hope you do not intend to add scripts, that would be a serious error as in Starbase.-
It isn't risky. All of my mods works fine and the new possibilities in the game are great. The CPU load is minimal. The gameplay gets a boost from the live LCDs and the automation of the scripting.
I find User Scripting best handled by an in-game interface. We have a basic template for this in Circuit Logic, where we can assign some very limited functionality to devices. It wouldn't be a terrible stretch to expand this for support of additional functionality, to allow for further user customization.
Anyone seen @Xango2000? The 'Active Radar Mod' has become depreciated, and this would really be a neat mod to keep up-to date, imo. @Xango2000 had posted a challenge for the community, but that seems to have slid to the back-burner. https://empyriononline.com/threads/all-my-future-mods.47515/#post-293583
The new LCD "projectors" support images. Could anyone work out a way to use custom images on those? Ideally this would be a server level mod.
Not possible to modify the image set on the LCD an projector. There is a thread on the steam forums covering some editing tipe and tool to help you. We have still not exhausted the creativity of people on the LCD/holo front anyway, so I think we can go a logn way yet with the tools we have. Keen to see some more artwork created by people who have the skill and time.
