I think I figured out my problem with not being able place blocks the other day. The problem was between the keyboard and chair. I didn't notice the shield got turned on somehow. I always forget about that thing. Ran into a proper bug this morning while trying to update the blueprint(had a bit of inspiration, the detention center got a makeover). It popped up an error message telling me it couldn't delete the blueprint (very clearly hit update, NOT delete) and then it went ahead and deleted it anyway. It wasn't showing up in my blueprint list after that. I checked and the folder was still there but it was empty. I managed to recover by copying over the backup .epb and .jpg and renaming them to match the live version. That seemed to sort it out. Man I am not updating any blueprints for awhile!
Needed a fast flying recon. Sooo... I spawned in my "Speculator" Its a rather cheap T1 L7 Recon plane. Not following completely the Flight model as I added down- and upward Truster. Landing on a CV is a bit awkward by inertia only.
What all does that entail? Do you have to physically go in and update all the current devices to Alpha 12?
Finished the Valkyrie and posted to the workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2058635734 She's an excelent small transport SV with 5 forward-facing weapon pods (2 Gatling & 3 Homing Rocket Launchers installed) and a shield generator. Room in the cabin for 3 (pilot + 2 passengers) and there is storage, constructor, oxygen, and an armor locker.
BTW … I've also been working on another little SV ... Complete overhaul of my previous auto-miner maintenance vehicles (Yukon / Talon). Gutting the interior (redesign and switching internal blocks to Carbon Fiber to reduce weight) and heavily modifying the exterior. She's roughly 10-15% larger than her predecessors. Beautiful ship! Loved the others you had made. I just spent about 2-3 hours tracking down a bug in my scenario. Fixed it (I hope. Please I hope). Whew! Hey I got to be creative now! Made some smaller "mini" sector POIs. Things like small asteroid fields, hacking sites, or ship graveyards that show up on the solar system map. Just more little things to explore. I really neglected space content but at the same time I kind of want to wait to see if space is getting an overhaul eventually before I make too many playfields for it.
Mostly did config work today, and a Signal Relay satellite POI. It originally wasn't going to look like that, but after my first attempt failed this one came about and it's probably better than the original plan.
When you are on it, try to consider to change the Faction of the Smugglers from Zirax to Alien....it makes really no sense to have a Warrior like Society and the same guy keep Smuggling their own stuff. That brings me to the PDA Quest on the Rocky Desert Planet change Zrx to Aln? Planet POI Idea - something like Watto's Junkyard Faction Polaris - Greedy! - access only at Friendly/Honored...or War(booby Traped ship wrecks to explode leaving only bits and Bobs)
Alien won't work because it has no reputation listing. You can't gain or lose rep with them (without console commands), they are always hostile. I think Zirax is the best fit for them until an actual Pirate faction or custom factions are added. (I really hope we get custom factions soon.)
I have been busy making lots of POI's for you all to perish in but I cannot post them here due to their nature. Dang it. Still, just wanted to pop in and give you a cheerful heads up that your impending doom is nigh! *waves!*
