Description: There seems to be a problem with the way the terrain/textures are being rendered on this new alpha while using a AMD GPU causing it to have huge performance problems. While staying inside buildings the performance is quite acceptable (still bad)but if the player looks outside to the terrain, or leaves a building the performance drops to single digits or close to it. Here too. GFX settings and resolution make no difference at all. Tried 'fast' " 1280x720 (which oddly make its worse), 'best' at 2560x1440. i7700K, RX580 GPU. Severity: Show stopper, and yet no comment/response?
Hello, seems not only AMD GPU. My System: MSI Tomahawk B450, AMD R5 2600, 16GB Aegis 3000Mhz@2933(CL16), Gainward GTX 1070 Phönix, WIN 10 x64 Pro. Most Problems ar in Area of Polaris/Talon. Than my FPS drops from 60 to 20. Rain is an other Problem. I use Medium/Max Settings.
One of the people I play co-op with has major problem with Rain, but I think that is a different problem as is present in 1n 11.5 and he has an nVidia GPU (cant remember which, might be the same, he also has an AMD CPU).
Hi everyone! I have a RX 5700 XT and no probs here. Runs like previous build. Latest drivers and amd CPU too.

Up Updated the 1st post with 2 videos which both show the same graphical settings, the dxdiag and log as requested!
I'm having the exact same problems, a comparison between the 2 versions sees a nearly a 55 fps drop. Looking up at the sky i'm getting 120+ frames, down at the ground 36fps and at the horizon 18fps. Changing quality presets also has no effect on frame rate. I'll try and get video later. System: 16gb ram AMD Ryzen 7 3800x Radeon VII
Ok thanks I have edited your first post for others to also see the template. Are you able to also supply the save game ?
Please use the entire template from the first post right at the top for us to have something to examine.
Mode: Freedom mode Mode: Singleplayer Reproducibility: (Always) Severity: (Major) Type: (Global) Summary: I noticed this any time I looked down at the ground. Looked like the ground texture got some extra detailing with the help of some parallax occlusion mapping. I could be wrong of course but that seemed to be the problem from what I saw. Also seemed to get progressively better over time and then plateaued AMD RX 580 8GB AMD Ryzen 7 2700 32GB RAM Running on 500GB SSD

That happens to me too. I have managed to climb from 9fps to 15fps by passing the Rx560 board configuration from manual to automatic mode. Changing the graphics settings of the game has no effect. I also verify that when entering a building the fps rise considerably (45fps) CPU AMD RYZEN 5 1600 3.2Ghz (6 cores) 16gb Ram Graphic RX560 (4Gb ram)
Hi guys thanks for the supplied info we will try to get to the bottom of this asap. I'll update this thread again when we have something ready for you to try out in a release.
One more observation - playing 11.5 my GFX card fans spin up to high as soon as I am on planet, on 12 although card temps are similar the fans stay pretty much at idle.
No not yet currently looking at Tuesday. There should be a note in the patch notes to say it is in the build.
The mentioned fix above is now available in A12.2 B2883 please check it out https://empyriononline.com/threads/alpha-12-experimental-phase-ii.92862/
