Thanks man, I have a ton of lore written in the CA forums. This is a temple with a mix of Fantasy and Science Fiction. I was really trying to go for steampunk, but we're lacking assets in that category. I wanted to capture that feeling of awe when I first saw the castle at whiterun, but in my own way.
Thanks @Fractalite I decided to take a crack at this faction build again. I was thrilled to see the Alpha 12.0 update log. Finally, after years of asking, we are getting terminals, missions, keys and dialogue. Hopefully we can get the crewmembers next!!
What did I do in Empyrion today? Well I stayed up waaaay too late (early?) and worked on my scenario's starting solar system. I also started to make a custom config for it, but not sure if I will have it activate automatically or not. It prevents the use of a player's custom config unless they do a workaround so not sure.
I hate to even suggest it, but might have to compromise and fork your scenario into two versions. One with and one without custom config. It's the only real way around that problem at this time. It's either that or people have to copy your scenario files and paste them into their own scenario so they can use their config files.
Someone should train the Zirax how to handle attacking Creatures... Don't use your Rocket Launcher (he shot on one of the Night Creatures) at close Range it may back fire on you
Yeah I'll probably just include it and then give directions on how to copy it over for those who do want to use it. Hope we get workshop support for custom configs soon.

Sounds great! I'm hoping to be able to pick a star cluster in the galaxy on the default campaign and design the Empire there. However, I wouldn't mind checking out your scenario as well. It might be pretty cool to put it there too. Is the storyline different, or is it set in the same galaxy? This is all just speculation at this point, but I'm sure each faction at release would offer many custom missions, custom built POIs, direct alien models and of course storytelling. Interconnected lore between Factions on a level like Mass Effect could be possible if we have enough dedicated builders, designers in the community. It's just a matter of staying consistent with our stories. Of course the overarching theme is based on the human factor, but diversity is what will truly make this game better. Different types of political structures, events, markets, and lore just to name a few, will bring in a lot of RPG gamers.
All of the default game content is in the scenario, but it also includes its own storyline as well. It's mostly focused on open ended exploration so there's not too much story yet.
When I saw this I was jus blown away. I'm so glad they finally added yellow cones. But seriously, attaching interactables for missions is so great. Expand possibility 10000 Found out they're putting wrecks for loot in 12! Very glad.
Haven't done much yet at all. I keep trying to get caught up with the forum so I can get back in game and see what else I can find. But everyone keeps posting more. I started with 3 pages of new messages got it down to 1 and a half pages. Got up to make a coffee, come back and it's back to 3 pages.

My day so far started off good. After a bug wiped all zirax off the moon, I went about clearing up the area for resources to build my REAL base. Processing on site with portable constructors outside my HV while I droned off the back with my survival tool because I keep forgetting to make a drill. Got all the Iron and Silicon needed for a T3 or T4 Polaris Prefab Base. These basically my go-to for survival since I, ya know... designed them and they're all nice looking and hold a lot of stuff, while being cheap. Went home, restocked, but I need Titanium and Neodymium so... time to get warping. Which I haven't done yet. Headed off to the nearest planet, a Barren Metal planet which i've never actually explored. I've been very unlucky with planet gen for the last year or so, always getting the same planets so this is the first time i've actually seen the Barren Metal planet. I wouldn't mind living here, actually. It's a bit too toxic for my liking, too much radiation and it varies between extreme heat and extreme cold. I'd planned to get radiation boosters (actually useful now) for my armor from the moon POIs before they vanished. So... thanks to the detection distance of POIs, I was cruising at high speed through a canyon identifing ore deposits when my detector finally identified the POI to my left hidden behind a ridge, which I thought I was far enough away from to not get hit. Apparently not, it was a Zirax Advanced Rocket Battery. Now, i'm not flying a combat vessel. I'm flying an ultra-light carrier, made of carbon fiber and it's unarmed, carrying a mobile base-type HV. It's not meant to get close enough to anything to get shot at, letalone hit. The Rocket Battery was also the first enemy POI i'd encountered on the planet, I didn't expect it to be defense turret, which are usually used to protect AuxMain POIs, not standing alone in the middle of nowhere. Took 3 rockets to my port side housing, didn't hit any thrusters but it did hit my warp drive. Now i'm stuck with limited oxygen and food on a planet with no warp drive, no way to leave and as it turns out every single POI on this planet is an Advanced Rocket Battery. Oh, and theres no vital resources anywhere (not even as asteroids in orbit), except what I can salvage from the POIs that are trying to kill me, which are all guarded by Type 2 and Type 3 heavily armed drones. A lesser man would just cheat in a new warp drive. But not me, this is what I live for. Adversity, live or die. A real test of survival on a toxic world. I need to get enough resources to make a base, a generator, a fuel tank, a constructor and a new warp drive. Fuel's no problem, promethium is everywhere, but building on the planet is gonna be hard since it's patrolled regularly by multiple high-level drones. There's no plants on it so making new ammunition is a no-go. Limiting me to the 1500 rounds left in HV's minigun turret and ammo box. Also, the Barren planet is great looking. Easily one of the best vanilla planets i've seen. Reminds me of mars in Total Recall. Seconds before disaster... Note: The carrier i'm using is a T1 warp-capable, heavy load, super cheap SV that's also a prefab. The HV is also available as a UCH prefab (Raider Technical). This one is the Forge variant.
