I am currently in the territory of the traders' guild and the pirates to see their design. It struck me that I hadn't seen any abandoned and infested objects on any of the planets and moons I visited. Is that basically the case now? What am I supposed to plunder if there are only buildings of the friendly faction on planets in their territory.? The civilians? Are there any planets with mixed factions apart from the starter planet? If so, all other galaxies except the Zirax and the Legacy will be boring to death. Have any of you seen abandoned and infected objects on the planets of the territories of other factions (other than Zirax)? If yes, where?
I could be wrong but I believe the abandoned poi's are for the starting planets only. Once you're out of the starter system you can go in whatever direction you want There are other factions you can.....enjoy some aggressive negotiations if you should wish
The galaxy needs more life, hire some coders and add more "stuff" So easy to say and yet so challenging to make happen
Get building and submit them to the thread on these forums Hummel created https://empyriononline.com/threads/civilian-faction-bases-and-ships-for-non-territory-space.94666/
At first, I think that it would be sufficient to place a few abandoned objects on the planets in the faction territories as well. it can't be that difficult. I don't want to make every faction my enemy just to have a little variety in the game. It's also just boring when there is only one faction left on a planet. It's all in the mix! That's why the starter planets are more interesting. why shouldn't there also be Zirax bases on the planets of the other factions? Since they don't even fight each other, it can only be more interesting for the player. And you're a very smart boy. At the moment I am one of 3 lonely players who even responded to the call. WORKSHOP suggestions You are welcome to pass on your tip to the many other creators who have so far overlooked this appeal.
I've found plenty of Zirax installations on Nacent worlds in other faction territories. I've even watched Zirax and Kreil duke it out around Kreil structures on lava planets, or in between Zirax and Kreil structures - quite an excellent thing to actually see, really makes the universe feel more alive seeing some intra-faction fighting going on. It does happen, but a bit more frequency, especially along boarder worlds, would be nice.
I suppose I should probably make some more... In fairness though, I have run out of buildings to convert. So I guess I will have to be a bit more aggressive. <- takes longer though.
it's not about that you should do more. Under no circumstance. It would be enough if an already existing object were to be placed on at least half of the planets in every solar system. At the moment I have the feeling that they are not being placed outside the starter galaxy. I can't remember the last time I saw the abandoned bunker.
i agree there should be more variety around the galaxy. i dont see any reason the "abandoned" pois would only be on the starter planet. makes no sense. they are good interesting pois, why make it so you likely never see them again after leaving the starter planet? not saying every planet in the galaxy needs to be as populated as the starter, but the last time i played i was only seeing maybe 1 to 4 pois per planet that i warped to. and thats after i started using the "map" console command just to find ANYTHING.
I'm a noob and haven't left the starter planet yet. What you're saying though means there isn't anything to do in the game unless you want to go to war with one of the factions? Isn't there anything to loot on other planets?
Yes, unfortunately it seems to be the case at the moment. Since we have the faction territories, there are actually no more mixed factions on the planet. That means there is nothing to fight or plunder when I visit a friendly faction. For me this is one of the biggest misgivings with the introduction of the great galaxies. Actually, flying around in friendly territories only consists of visiting the sights. after 2-3 galaxies you know all faction buildings and there is no longer any incentive to fly into these territories. There must be POIs on all planets that are basically "evil". Regardless of the status of the factions. So far, those were the abandoned objects with the infected living beings in them. Obviously, these are no longer placed on the faction areas. But that's my very personal impression and everyone plays the game differently.
The "special" POIs (like abandoned bases) do show up on Legacy planets. If one of the races is hostile you can of course plunder their worlds. I set up on the edge of Zirax space and raided their planets until I thought I had enough epic stuff to head off to Legacy space. The friendly systems are still useful for the trading bases mostly for gold, healing stuff, special ammo, and auto miner cores.
I don't want to do any negative propaganda here. The game has enough potential for more than 500 hours of fun. But after that it gets boring. First, there is only ONE single Lagacy Planet, that of the Central System. All other legacy systems have no planets at all! In any case, I've visited 70% of all legacy systems and found none. (unusable gas giants remain disregarded) Yes, the territory of the Zirax always remains to let off steam. But if you assume that you are (almost automatically) connected in friendship with all other factions, there remains an almost unbelievably large number of galaxies that have absolutely nothing to offer. So why should I fly senselessly from galaxy to galaxy after 1000 hours of gaming? From my point of view, that is the problem with the new galaxy system so far. It has nothing to offer for an singleplayer except a few beautiful sights that one has simply seen enough of at some point. When I have everything I need, I don't have to go to a dealer anymore. This game needs POIs on all planets, it needs dungeons, it needs quests that seduce you to travel through the galaxy. It takes variety and diversity. It needs very special loot, artifacts, items that do not bring any advantage in the game, but that you can collect, etc. The game has now created the very best conditions. Now content has to be added.
I believe we have currently about 5 (?) real POI Builders and Converters of Workshop Blueprints. All But one are not 'around the clock' builders. The Abandoned-POI-Series is, AFAIK, for Starter Planets - Vanilla - only. They have to fullfil certain requirements for STARTING Players. Such as - XP, Loot, Rare Loot, Weapons, Meds, Comon and rare Ingots/Rods and a few Blocks and Devices here and there. Also, they have to be of a size to put into those loot containers (a building of the size of the Toilett behind your Barn isn't large enough).
I know all of this and I know that it will be difficult to put more content into the game. So I can't understand why they don't distribute the big POIs that already exist, on other planets? WHY NOT? That would be the easiest solution temporarily. ... at least from my point of view. But For example, if they generate a system of collectible artifacts (like the bobble dolls from FO4), then a toilet house behind the garden fence on a godforsaken lonely planet is enough to land and search there. Because you want the showcase in your CV to finally be able to display all of the artifacts.
Someone else had the same/similar...'Idea'....and that was ELEON's answer: Technically that does not matter as Eleon exclusively owns ANY copyright for any item created with the game. This copyright is not transfered to the creator and also exists if the blueprint is removed from the workshop. What means: - you cannot file a class act vs. Eleon for using their own property - two players basically cannot sue each other for "copyright" as creating "shapes" from a computer game (at least i never heard of that ever). Copyright infringments or copyright class actions between to parties that use the same toolbox are basically only possible if you make money in a business sense or if the copied item is under trademark. Nothing is the case in terms of workshop creations. .........it is something different if someone creates a model (lets say for a turret) and sells it to Eleon...and you take his turret and try to sell it to us as well. But in this case, you are making business, whereas business laws apply. tl,dr > having spend hours for a blueprint does not make you the owner and does not give any copyright to the creator, just bragging rights.
Yeah, but if taking/copying someone else's design you should always give credit for it. I've been pissed at a few pieces of crap on the workshop that have ripped my POIs and ships out of the game files and uploaded them on the workshop. I don't mind that, it's that they've gone the extra mile to strip off the creator tag to replace it with their own name. That's willful plagiarism, since they are not the creator and you cannot "accidentally" remove the creator tag. They cared so little about the ship they were ripping off they never remove the Forge Aerospace tag or my literal name decaled on the side of the ship between armor layers.
