Build: 3605 Mode: Survival/Creative Mode: SP/MP If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Yes Reproducibility: Always Severity: Minor Type: UI Summary: Map markers continue to produce weird results Description: Map markers seem to constantly change some times because you can select coords while the map markers screen is open. Expected results is that the map marker screen prevents you from selecting new coords until you click ok, remove, or cancel. Steps to Reproduce: 1. on a planet, open map 2. right click an area of map 3. with map marker window open, click left or right mouse button anywhere outside (sometime inside) the window for map marker Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links:
In pictures: So while I'm editing a marker, I change the position of the marker by clicking outside of this box, changing the marker's position (I do not want to do this) Also, when rotating the map in any way, the cursor gets locked in this position for some reason, typically resulting in an icon change.
Yes, I've observed this as well. My understanding is that when creating or modifying a map marker, you should be very careful to not click outside the dialog box. However, there are times you have an arbitrary maker setup like "Meet Here", and at many times, you want to just modify the coordinates of that marker (because "meet here" would be a different location), and in that case you WOULD want to be able to click a new location outside the dialog box.. so it's not really broken. I would suggest that if you click outside the box and the coordinates are going to change, then pop up a confirmation or something that says 'you have altered this marker's coordinates, continue save? Y/N. Or something similar.
