I am not sure if this is as should be or a bug. same issue for me - it's game breaking for me - can't play anymore after more than a thousand hours. Awful patch - very disappointed. So sad. Not an issue in single player only multi.
It's currently on the experimental branch. It could be a few hours, few days, or few weeks. It all depends on if new game breaking bugs pop up in the patch or not. If you absolutely can't wait then update to exp and test (client and server). Although I would recommend making backup copies of all files first just in case.
