Build: 3362 Mode: Survival SERVER NAME: N/A SEED-ID: 2261970 Reproducibility: Always Severity: Trivial Type: Spawning Summary: No drones spawn during "A Glacial Grave" Description: During the Emergency Broadcast part of "A Glacial Grave" nobody came to attack me. It looks like the game tried to spawn the enemies, but the location looks a little off. This is the third time I have started a new game to test this issue so it is repeatable. Steps to Reproduce: Play through the "A Glacial Grave" quest. I made sure that I had DI turned on so you can see the coordinates of the wreck and compare them to the coordinates of the drones the game said it spawned. The enclosed save game is just before I approached the final terminal.
I started a new game and turbo-cheated back to this mission. Same result, no drones came to play with me.
Saw the same when I hit this same spot/objective yesterday. I continued on thinking they might be stuck behind a hill somewhere that I've seen happen in the past depending on their spawn point relative to the geology and you. (pathing) But maybe something else is in fact going on at this point in the mission.
I found something in the log files that explains what is happening. The drones for the attack are spawning inside the planet. 26-17:47:58.147 10_47 -WRN- Entity '' with id=1670, type=EnemyDrone, pos=(1461.1, -684.8, 1247.6) is out of the playfield (Space_WithinPlanet), removing it
Uninstalled the game and then went to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival and manually deleted everything the installer left behind. Reinstalled the game and then went onto the experimental branch and started a new game. Turbo-cheated to "A Glacial Grave" and did not use ESC to skip any dialogue. Same thing happened, no drones appeared during the Emergency Broadcast. The enclosed save has the player at the base of the elevator leading to the bridge just before triggering the event.
My OS drive (where Empyrion is installed) is 2 SSD's configured in RAID 0. For some odd reason Speccy says that I have a 4 MB video card when I have a 8 MB card.
Ok thanks a fix has been done for this & will be available soon which I have just checked & the drones do spawn in correctly now.
Did you skip or resolve ANY task manually via PDA? (In his case the Drones will not spawn because it is triggered by a PDA tech that is not executed when you mark the task it is tied to solved manually)
The only thing I skipped was the flavor text logs, I will FF the text by clicking on the right mouse button but I never used ESC and did not manually complete any of the stages.
