Build: 3366 Mode: Survival / Creative Mode: Single Player / Multiplayer Reproducibility: Always Severity: Minor Type: HUD Summary: The LON/LAT and X/Y/Z position text in the hud currently overlaps the sunrise/sunset time indicator, making it very difficult to read your position. Also, the sunrise/sunset indicator remains on screen when in space. Description: Two issues here: 1) The position of the lat/lon (planet) and x/y/z (space) text has shifted since 1.4 (or the sunrise/sunset indicator shifted). On planets this means that the longitude text overlaps the sunrise/sunset text, making it hard if not impossible to read. In space, there is a separate problem: 2) In space, the sunrise/sunset indicator HUD remains, and usually shows a garbage number. This again overlaps the X and Y position text, making it difficult to read. Steps to Reproduce: Load the attached creative save. The SV is just on the edge of the atmosphere. Transition between atmosphere and space and observe that in both cases the position text overlaps the sunrise/sunset indicator. On planet: In space: Getting out of the ship while in space, you can still see the sunset indicator on your HUD:
I figured it might have been reported, but didn't see it. I'll look again. Update: Found what you were talking about. It was a regular forum post, not a bug report. https://empyriononline.com/threads/display-problem-in-1-5-experimental.97775/
Build: 3376 Mode: N/A SERVER NAME: N/A SEED-ID: N/A If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: N/A Reproducibility: Always Severity: Trivial Type: HUD Summary: X, Y, Z Coordinates overwrite weather info in HUD Description: When you pilot a vessel, the X, Y, Z coordinates overwrite the weather info in HUD. nothing game-breaking, purely visual, started after update Lat and Long coordinates overlap the time to sunrise/set and even though the temperature reading are both set to and reporting Fahrenheit, it is labeled as Celcius
Can't be bothered to work as a tester/thread browser, I am already a client. Here's an obvious bug, please fix it. Fullscreen, 1920x1080, native for the screen.
Build: v1.5 3376 Mode: Survival Single Player SEED-ID: 527656 If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: N/A Reproducibility: Always Severity: Minor Type: UI/HUD Summary: LON/LAT coordinates in vessel HUD overlap clock Description: The Longitude/Latitude coordinates overlap the sunup/sundown clock. These coordinates appear when in the cockpit of a vessel. The overlapping makes it very difficult to read either element of the HUD. Another note is that the font of the coordinates is different. While this is technically a different issue, it is so minor that I don't feel that it is worth a separate ticket. Steps to Reproduce: - Enter the cockpit of a vessel. (I tested with an SV closed cockpit.) - Observice the LON/LAT coordinates in the upper right of the HUD. Expected Behavior: It seems that the LON/LAT coordinates should be just a bit lower to avoid overlapping. Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links:
Was reported before (I believe)... it is a ...hm...residue of a not complete removed HUD-Change-Experiment.
Position and sunrise/sunset HUD text overlap [7988] When you access a Thread and you Notice a attached Number to its Title you could restrain yourself and DO NOT BUMP it! Because it has been given a Working number!

Not sure if it helps, but I accidentally found that setting the monitor or better the game resolution to 1680x1050p (16:10) "solves" the issue. I had to temporary use and old 16:10 monitor due to failure of my main one.
The Title of the Report Shows that it is getting looked at. Filed / Tracking Position and sunrise/sunset HUD text overlap [7988] As it is rather a 'residue' (of a tried HUD Change)than a actual Bug it gets only a normal Priority. So please keep your comments civilized.
