    Hi everyone,

As some of you have reported a problem with connecting to a server in MP since v1.5 was released we have a potential fix in v1.5.1 B3385 which we have temporarily put onto the experimental branch for you to try out & let us know if the issue still remains with this build.
Feel free to use our experimental server which is updated to this build & running a fresh save for this test.

If it does please reply here with a copy of your client log, server logs (dedicated & playfield logs) & a copy of the save game:

How to attach a save game to a report:
    Go to:
    For SP or Co-op:
Right click on "Empyrion" in your steam library > Properties > Local files > Browse > Saves > Games
    or: SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Games

    For MP:
Right click on "Empyrion - Dedicated Server" in your steam library > Properties > Local files > Browse > Saves > Games
    or: SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Saves\Games
    1. Right click on the save folder & place your mouse cursor over 'Send to' create a compressed copy of it (or use winzip or 7zip)
    2. Drag & drop a copy in your reply box or use the upload a file option on the forum.
    3. If the folder is too large use a file hosting site like mediafire, dropbox or google drive & add a share link to it

How to attach logs to a report:
The client log, dedicated server logs & crashes folder locations:
    1. Client log location:
Right click on Empyrion in your steam library > Properties > Local files > Browse local files > Logs

    2. Dedicated server logs ("Dedicated" & "Playfield" logs):
      Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Logs\<build number>
Now create copies of all of the relevant files or folders from the above instructions, compress them with windows built in compression option (Right click on the file or folder > Send to > "Compressed (Zipped) folder") then attach to your report by dragging them into the reply box or using the upload a file option.

If you don't see the experimental branch in the betas list in steam you will need to restart your steam client for it to reappear.

    Thanks in advance!

I updated to v1.5.1 B3385 and logged in to the experimental server, but it was still stuck on the loading after selecting the first planet. Doesn't look fixed on my side.

Do you mind trying a complete re installation of the client ?

    • Completely uninstall Empyrion & then reinstall after doing the following steps
    1. Right click on Empyrion in your steam library > Properties > Local files > Browse local files > Saves
Make a backup copy of any saves & blueprints you have in another folder away from steam or place them on another drive.
Also if you have any custom scenarios, playfields or configs etc you will want to back them up & also move them away from from the root Empyrion installation folder which are all found in the "Contents" folder.
    2. Select Empyrion in your steam library & select the uninstall option & when that is completed delete the "Empyrion - Galactic Survival" folder in your Steam\steamapps\common folder
    3. Delete these folders called "Eleon Game Studios" in these locations if they are found there:
      C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Temp\Eleon Game Studios
      C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\LocalLow\Eleon Game Studios
    4. Restart your PC
    5. Reinstall Empyrion in your steam library select Empyrion & select install & wait for it to finish downloading. When the download is complete:
Right click on Empyrion in your steam library > Properties > Local files > Browse local files
& place your saves, blueprints, custom scenarios etc back.

I'm still getting the same results after following your steps for uninstalling completely, and reinstalling. The loading spinner keeps on spinning. =(

Ok thanks for trying can you also attach your logs folder for 3385 please ?

& just a stab in the dark do you have any anti virus software running ?
If you do does the same issue still appear if you turn it entirely off ?

No anti virus software , just the windows builtin defender. I've attached the logs. I've also posted a link to this thread in Steam's Empyrion forum with a group having the same issue., maybe one of them will try out v1.5.1 B3385.
